Zellweger portrayed as musclebound
Celebrities

What is it with the British lately? They let an old codger do man's work while younger men stand by, and then their greasy newspapers hound the lovely Renee Zellweger for her level of fitness.

Now, granted, Zellweger was at the premier of a movie she made that mocks small-town America, propagating cosmopolitan falsehoods - and that's hard to forgive. But visible triceps go a long way. I think she looks fabulous.

Mary Ann vs. Ginger
TV Shows and Ads

I remember this promo from several years back, for the truly awful reality show "The Real Gilligan's Island". I may have linked to it back when it was new, but I just stumbled on it again and it's really hot, so here you go.

Obviously there are two hypotheticals implicit in this video:

  • What if Ginger and Mary Ann ever got in a full-on pie wrestling match?
  • What if Ginger and Mary Ann were a whole lot better developed in the chest and a lot more athletic, too?
I like it.

Vallejo-Bell Calendar 2009
Books

I forgot to mention the Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell Fantasy Calendar for 2009! OK, so every year Boris and Julie base the calendar on a story, and each of the paintings in the calendar reflects an event in the story as it proceeds. This year the story is "The Stones of Thay'mir" by C. J. Henderson. Here's the blurb from the publisher:

Product Description
Twisted landscapes, ominously swirling skies, creatures plucked from myth and nightmare. And women—passionate, strong, rendered with extraordinary anatomical detail, who captivate with their beauty and fierceness. Born of the heated imaginations of husband-and-wife artists Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell, the Fantasy Calendar for 2009 features thirteen all-new paintings that plunge the viewer into a world that is dark, dynamic, and mysterious, ruled by magic and roamed by fearsome beasts. A priestess sleeps among the tangled roots of a tree, oblivious to the menacing robot looming over her. Two sensuous maidens lull a colorful dragon into submission. A woman battles to stay astride her powerful white steed, her eyes steely and intense. Weaving the dramatic images together is "The Stones of Thay'mir," an original story by C.J. Henderson.

Book Description
This is the perennially best-selling fantasy calendar. For 2009 come thirteen all-new paintings from the vivid imaginations of husband-and-wife artists Boris Vallejo, America's premier fantasy artist, and Julie Bell, designer of the popular Dragons of Destiny sculpture series. They create a world that is dark, dynamic, and mysterious, ruled by magic and roamed by fearsome beasts. Plus captivating women: goddesses, huntresses, fairies, and mermaids, passionate and strong, rendered with precise anatomical detail. Weaving the images together is an all-new fantasy narrative by C.J. Henderson, author of the Teddy London Series.

Tall Women Book
Books

ImageHere's a recent book release called I'm Tall You're Not, So That Makes Us Even, and it's about the lives of very tall women.

This is a short book about Tall women. Ever wonder what it would be like to live an episode of your life over several times a day? Well, for Tall women (aka Amazonian Goddesses) we are in a perpetual Groundhog Day movie-like drama that unfolds with us answering the questions like; “How tall are you?” or “Do you play basketball?” about half a dozen times a day.

This book deals with the humor of being a statuesque female in today’s society, while enlightening these grand beauties on just how envied they are. Smith delves into the science of being tall (ScienTALLogy), growing up tall, and the art of dating women who are looked up to.
