Elee0228 posted a link to a site I remember from way back, Hiroki Yoshida's Lounge Pure.
It's a cute art site filled mostly with Hiroki's drawings of female
wrestlers. Just about all the women drawn have a pleasing
roundness to their limbs, though most are nowhere near as muscular as
the figure at right.
I've debated adding a Japanese art board to Amaz0ns, but to do that I'd
also have to enable Japanese language encoding on the site, which is
doable but the implied loss of control (I wouldn't be able to read what
was being written) scares me a little. I'd need to find someone
to moderate the Japanese art board who reads Japanese.
HerBiceps has had an eruption of very attractive, muscular women in its most recent update. Check out Lise Thexton and Tina Jo Orban, as well as Jennifer Chamberlain. There are others,
too - I don't mean to give them short shrift. But the three I
mention each made my jaw drop.
Thexton especially is a nice
surprise - she's a beautiful girl with a natural look, and she appears
to be about as
solid as the tree in the background. Rick Oliver is the
photographer (which means she's very likely Canadian, I'm afraid) so I'm sure
there's a lot more material to come.
There's a free photo of her here, and it appears she competed in a figure competition last month.
For fans of 80s cartoons and enemies of weepy 90s techno, this is must-see. It's work-safe but you'll need to leave the volume on, so wear headphones if you got 'em.
Dan Slott's relaunched She-Hulk is back on comics stands
today. The comic features Juan Bobillo on art, which some fans
are happy about, others not so much. The opening storyline takes
up a few months following the end of the last series' run, which
conveniently enough was actually a few months ago.
It's OK. I'm not going to rave about it, but it's OK and I'm glad
to see her back. Slott has clearly made some decisions about who
the fan base should be, and it ain't us.
I was really annoyed with the Marvel website, by the way. It's
always been awful but today was worse than ever. It took me five
minutes to find the She-Hulk #1 page, though right up front I was
notified that there's a new Marvel movie opening up on July 28th!
The Fantastic Four!
Attention Marvel: fire whoever runs your website, the whole team if
it's a team. Hire me, just me, and I'll do it all by myself and
you'll never have a problem with people being able to find what they're
looking for, ever again. It will be easy as pumpkin pie.
