I just heard about this - a new fitness chain called Cuts for Men.
It's based on and owned by Curves,
and it will
never, ever succeed. It's so easy to make money in fitness,
because it's one of the few fields of endeavor in which you can take
people's money indefinitely without actually achieving any results, so
it's hard to believe that the company could make such a colossal
blunder. Video workout programs, home gym equipment, supplements, magazines
-
all promising fields of expansion for Curves. But basing a
business and significant capital expenditure on the idea of telling men
what to do in the gym? Ha!
Male gym behavior is sited in the same area of the brain as driving behavior - we never ask for directions. NEV-UHR.
