Jelena Abbou site relaunch
Tuesday, 25 July 2006
Jelena Abbou relaunched her site with a brand new design. Many of you will recognize Abbou as a frequent fitness magazine cover girl and of course the body from the Fahrenheit TV ads.

I'd like to point out that Abbou was born in Serbia, formerly part of Yugoslavia and of the Soviet bloc. So for those of you who are critical of Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, it falls to me to remind you of the avalanche of hot muscle girls who have come tumbling Westward since the Berlin Wall fell, almost 17 years ago. If those of you who threw around words like "detente" and "containment" had your way back then, we'd be forced to subsist on the buff chicks we import from Canada and Scandinavia. And if Jimmy Carter had won a second term, the Soviets probably would have invaded both of those places, too.

So when it comes time to vote in November, think of girls like Jelena Abbou, Alina Popa, Timea Majorova and Florina Petcu, and vote Republican. It's what Cory Everson would do.

God Bless Crazy House!
And when you think of the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, imagine all the future Dina Al-Sabah's being liberated from the oppressive yoke of the burkha and not being allowed to use the men's weight room. I'm sure you'll do what's right in November. God bless foreign-born muscle girls, and God bless America!

If I wanted mindless political spiel, I'd turn on Fox News.

"Say it ain't so, Lingster"? How long have you been reading. This is hardly the first time. (I'd say "Say it ain't so, Corey!" is a little more appropriate.)

"If I wanted mindless political spiel..." Um... do you know what "spiel" means? Honestly the only redeeming characteristic of Lingster's political posts, tends to be that they are (quite deliberately) funny, so while you should be hoping for less "mindless political..." you should be hoping for MORE "spiel" ;)

Just so you know, Yoguslavia was NEVER a part of the soviet block. You really should check your facts. Otherwise interesting post. :)

The Soviet Union was going to collapse due to the fact that their economic system just plain didn't work. Reagan's massive military spending played only a small (if any) role. Maybe it sped up the collapse by a week or so. Neverending U.S. deficits are quite a price to pay for that week.

"Yoguslavia was NEVER a part of the soviet block."

What is that, Yogurtslavia? It's true that it was not a Warsaw Pact nation and was a founding member of the so-called "non-aligned movement", but Tito was supported by Stalin during and following World War II - he could not have assumed power without the USSR's support. Most importantly, Yugoslavians suffered under significant travel restrictions, a defining characteristic of 20th century communism. Tito pulled off what Hungary and Czechoslovakia could not, but Yugoslavia was still a communist state with far more in common with the USSR than Italy or Austria.

So far no one has even remotely challenged my thesis that Republicans = more muscle girls.
dcmatthews - But is Cory really a Republica   | 70.115.222.xxx | 2006-07-26 13:00:16
The "GOP Babes" profile of Cory includes some interesting information about her career, her interests, etc., but provides scant proof of her political leanings. (One pic of her visit to an aircraft carrier does not a Republican make.) The article would have been more helpful had it included details of, for example, who she votes for and why. I'd like to think she thinks much like I do, but I haven't seen any evidence.

Although perhaps the fact that she hasn't asked them to remove it (because it associates her with the GOP) might be proof enough...

You've toned down a lot of your crap in recent months. Just shut up.
Lingster - hm.   | 141.152.27.xxx | 2006-07-26 22:39:26
Did you know, noviecaine, that you've spent four days and seven hours of your life logged into this site? I only know because I looked you up. You have never posted to the forum and I don't think you've ever posted a comment before. So in the four days and seven hours you've spent here, at this site I provide at no expense to you, the first time you opened your mouth you told me I post crap and that I should shut up.

That's class, folks. Right there, that's class.

Your thesis about "Republicans = more muscle girls" has some serious flaws. At some point, some egomaniacal leader of the religious right will declare that, since muscular women are never mentioned in the bible, then they must be an abomination. Then, some organization such as Focus on the Family will declare that children fare better when raised by a muscular man and a waifish woman. Pretty soon, opposition to female muscularity will become a litmus test for any Republican running for office. It might even spawn proposed constitutional ammendments banning women from weight training.

:eek

I'm not buying into your thesis. :)
