There's a nice image of the muscular bouncer-turned-superhero Grace Choi on the cover of Outsiders #41. Normally I don't buy Judd Winick comics because they suck, but he just writes 'em and I make exceptions for good art.
Events in this issue, keen-eyed DC watchers will note, brings to three the number of red-headed lesbians added to the comic publisher's books this year. Grace, Knockout and Batwoman have all been retconned for girl-on-girl action.
So should we expect Barbara Gordon and Lana Lang to go muff-diving in the near future, as well? Or perhaps a new team book is in the works? It's hard to say. Given Winick's past behavior, though, it's fairly likely that his gay rights fixation will sidetrack the comic storyline within the year. (I'm actually surprised it took him this long to try it - sales must be suffering.)
...as evidenced by her assignation with Roy Harper earlier in this book's run, or Winick, so pro-gay I'm surprised he isn't gay, made her gay.

Of course he made her gay. He discovered a long time ago that he can get press by inserting these themes into comics. The guy is a self-promoter par excellence, so why would he pass up this opportunity when it works every time?

Since he wrote the Roy/Grace scene as well, I'm sure he intends her to be bisexual.
And one can be pro-gay without being gay onesself. The guy lost a close friend who was gay, so I can understand why he'd want to talk about it. Although at this point I'm inclined to agree with Lingster in that he brings the subject up so often it's obviously self-aggrandizement.
