Take a deep breath. I have some bad news: Jessica Alba and friends are to begin filming Fantastic Four 2 in August.

What the hell? How bad does a movie have to be before a sequel becomes inconceivable? The first one sucked so bad it's still jetting $10 bills into the Negative Zone.

The villain will be the Silver Surfer, which is going to be so Terminator 2. (What are the odds he'll have Kirby underpants?)

To quote the blog : "This movie already sounds like it’s going to be better than the first one."

I wish I could be that optimistic. I guess it could be better if it was just 120 minutes of Jessica Alba naked washing cars, but I don't think that is going to happen.

No, Doctor Doom was the worst part.

But the film was utter tosh. Part of me wants Hollywood to explode so they stop stripmining potential superhero properties.

There is a sequel that will make Fantastic Four and its Sequel look like Ghandi. They are making Dukes of Hazzard 2 and there using Nick Lacheys cuurent girlfriend from luguna beach to replace his ex wife, worse still they are going to offer the role of Iron Man to Tom Cruise, Please god no and any how he villan of fantastic four two is ment to be Gallactius thus setting up a Silver Surfer Film.

If they do a CGI Jennifer Connolly She-Hulk as part of the Hulk 2, it might very well be the best movie ever made.

Actually, FF wasn't THAT bad. Doom's potrayal indeed sucked, and yet Jessica Alba was one of the few reasons to watch. Are they really making Silver Surfer the villain?

Dukes of Hazzard was the worst crap of last year. Even Stealth was better.

Tom Cruise as...God, I can't even write the rest.

well, I thought that Nicolas Cage would suck in the Ghost Rider movie... but the advert I saw while watching X3 looked really good... but I know that adverts can be (and usually are) better than the actual film.

As for Hulk2, if they do have the She-Hulk, if they don't have at least a decent size to her, I doubt I'll be interested in it enough...

"Hulk" gets a lot of shit, but truthfully it's not as bad as it's made out to be. Sure, the story needed a major rewrite, but the direction had a stylish quality that really captured the feeling of a comic book. I'd watch it again for that. If only they could've molded that to a better story with more action. And would it have killed them to have included the Abomination? Daddy issues are so yesterday.

Of course, now that we've seen X2, Spiderman 2, Sin City, and Batman Begins, we've gotten a little spoiled to high-quality comic book movies and have forgotten that crappy adaptations were the norm for decades. Batman and Robin, anyone? I thought not.

Huh? Sorry. Lingster put the image of a 6'6" Jennifer Connelly in my head and my mind went to a very happy place.

FF2 AND Dukes of Hazzard 2? I see Hollywood is still adhering to the "nothing but sequels and remakes" strategy that earned them record box-office lows last year. Brilliant, Hollywood! Bravo! Let video games push you a little closer to irrelevance.

I agree that the movie (FF) was a little less than stellar but at least the Thing (a top 5 favorite character of mine) will get more screen time. When I was heard thatMichael Chiklis would play the part of The Thing, I cringed at first. After seeing the film I thought that he was superb at bringing the character to life.

F4deuce promises me more Thing, I'm there. F4deuce promises me more Jessica Alba, I'm there, though I thought that Charlize Theron would have been a better choice for the roll of Sue Storm. However beautiful she may be, I had a hard time believing Jessica Alba in the role of a scientist.

Gary Coleman in a damn wig would've made a better Sue Storm. Jessica Alba is smokin' hot, but she couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag.

Whether a sequel gets made has nothing to do with quality. It has to do with whether they think it will make money.

A couple weeks ago, I read an article saying Doom would be in the sequel and the writer (I think) said he's MUCH more like his comic-book counterpart this time around.

Given Alba's comments, I don't know if that's still the case, but if they follow through on that promise, then they could cast Ron Jeremy and Anna Nicole Smith as Reed and Sue, for all I care.

Well, they could go with that storyline with Doom tricking the Silver Surfer into giving him the power cosmic/working for him. But the whole Galactucus thing... I mean.. then you start having to get into the Ultimate Nullifier (or more of the big generic SCIENCE! that was in the first movie) and hoo boy and I think it would be trying to cram too much into one movie.
