Cory Everson

I was surprised to see that none of Cory Everson's workout tapes have been re-released on DVD. In the 1990s, Everson released a number of tapes in a series called "Get Hard", at least one "Bodyshaping" video during her tenure with the ESPN workout show of the same name, and another series called "Gotta Sweat". A number of the videos still fetch pretty strong resell prices on Amazon.com.

For those of you too young to remember, Everson was Ms. Olympia six times, back when professional female bodybuilding still attracted a strong public following, and she has been on the covers of more issues of more fitness magazines than probably anyone but Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's difficult to understand why her public profile has diminished, when she's of such importance to the history of women's fitness and still looks terrific. (Maybe California-based Amaz0ns readers could start a "Draft Cory" campaign for governor?)

So let this be a call to arms! Cory's fellow baby boomers need training videos! C'mon, Cory, let's see some DVD releases!

God, I love Cory! She was hot in Double Impact. I just wish that last scene lasted a but longer. :grin
