Olivia Munn as Wonder Woman
Thursday, 18 January 2007
Egotastic has the already soon-to-be almost-legendary Olivia Munn Wonder Woman clip. Munn is the co-host of "Attack of the Show" on G4, a program whose producers like to do these little comedy bits. They're usually pretty funny but this one has a special place in my heart.

Also see this G4 "X-Play" review of Snoopy vs. the Red Baron for more hilarity plus Morgan Webb, radiant Queen of the Geeks.

Ah, G4... while you have your moments of annoyingness and misjudging, for the most part, you doth rock. This Wonder Woman skit made my day, and I'm very happy to see any video game featuring Peanuts (Besides that "Snoopy Tennis" game I have...), let alone a well-rated one! Awesome! :D

The typical US sense of humour never ceases to baffle me.

How are you baffled? Was it the Snoopy bit or the Wonder Woman bit? Or both?

Not baffled in the sense of not being able to understand most of it, but baffled in the sense that I'm unable to get to grips with the US sense of humour. In short, as this is obviously a posting that you've made because of the humouorous content of the videos, I'm supposed to find it hilriously funny. Unfortunately, I don't. I know it's all a matter of taste, and my comment was only ever intended as a light-hearted, throwaway thing, but I'm afraid I watched it with a completely straight face.
I would guess that most Americans would do the same if they watched an edition of something llike "Blackadder Goes Forth", or "Only Fools and Horses". In fact, "Only Fools..." would need subtitles if it ever were exported to the US, as it features heavy London accents and was made during the 1980s and 1990s. It is, however, regarded as Britain's greatest ever sitcom.
No offence meant by what I originally said.

I thought there were three funny parts:
1) When she throws the giant rock at the mugger.
2) When she yells "Your costume is stupid!" during the fight in the dark room.
3) The whole toilet-on-the-invisible-plane gag.

Mostly I linked it because she's hot. And then in the second one, the funniest bit was the Portia Di Rossi/Peppermint Patty joke.

I found the video humourous but not LOL funny. BTW I enjoy Black Adder and other exported British comedy without a need for subtitles. Never saw "Only Fools..." though. Now the Rebus detective stories on the other hand I need to turn the sound way up to cut through those Scots accents.

Olivia is certainly a fine looking woman. And apparently game for just about anything.

And personally, SPACED is one of the funniest British series I've seen.
