Not being a real big reality TV show fan, I missed that a very buff women was one of the initial competitors on the new season of "The Bachelor", which premiered earlier this week. Linda Malek, a 33-year-old attorney from Ohio, was one of the initial 25 competitors. Unfortunately for those of us who like fit girls, Linda got canned at the end of the first episode. Here's part of the take from BuddyTV:
Linda - she is an attorney from Ohio and she is a little intense. She is VERY into working out and is quite buff. She's a pretty woman, but in interview has a habit of widening her eyes so much she looks a little deranged. Ergo: Crazy Eyes.

Linda Crazy Eyes is totally focusing her laser-like crazy eyes all over Andy. She thinks she is his 'mirror image' because she, too, is 'determined and OCD when it comes to working out.' I am wondering, though, if Andy, as a straight man, might not be looking exactly for a 'mirror image.' There's toned and then there's burly and Linda is verging on the latter. Nevertheless, she challenges Andy to do some push-ups.
Lindsay wants to get in on the action, so she and Andy start to do some squats, and nothing says 'Elegance' like a woman in a long dress doing deep knee squats. Unless it's a woman (Kate Brockhouse) in a tremendously short skirt doing the mermaid flop across the floor. Which also happens.
After they eat the tequila cake, it's time for the Rose Ceremony.
If I was The Bachelor, Linda would have been my number one choice. And she's hardly "burly" - she's actually very nicely built.
According to the Akron Beacon-Journal, the producers asked Malek to challenge bachelor Andy Baldwin to something a little more aggressive than push-ups:
...The encounter could have been even more memorable. At one point, Malek was asked to arm-wrestle Baldwin. ``I said `I'm not going to,' '' she said. ``I would never arm-wrestle a man.''
Considering her upper-body strength, she might have taken him. And I'd have liked to have seen how that affected her rose prospects.
As for romance, Malek said: ``I don't have a boyfriend as of yet.'' But she blamed part of that on getting ready for a figure competition in May. ``I work out twice a day,'' she said. ``There's not too much time for a social schedule.''

EDIT #2 - Okay, every time I log in I see this woman's face and my heart jumps. She's that gorgeous.

I also think she's very pretty. The flaw a lot of commenters raise, that she has "crazy eyes", really just means that she doesn't have media training. A lot of perfectly normal expressions can seem wild and exaggerated on TV.

See, I thought her crazy eyes were fantastic. She has these big eyes that made her look enthusiastic and interested in things. She seemed unrestrained and *fun*. Crazy eyes they can call it, but God, it didn't put me off at all. I think it just drew me in more.
I'm moving to Ohio and marrying this woman.

The Beacon_Journal journalist is pretty pro-femuscle, isn't he? That stuff about her rejecting an armwrestle with the guy:

Mind you, with beautiful, buff, intelligent women like Ms Malek around his local patch, I'm not surprised!
Oh, and Fett - you'll have a fellow English rival for Ms Malek's affections if you do decide to move. You may live closer to Heathrow, but I'll bet I can get to the States just as quickly as you can! :D
