Lucy Pinder on Soccer AM
Saturday, 30 December 2006
So in Great Britain they've got this sport called "soccer" (some of you may be familiar with it) and strangely enough they've also got numerous television programs dedicated to it. One of them is called Soccer AM and it is often very amusing. A regular segment on the program involves inviting out a pretty young thing and asking her embarrassing questions laden with numerous double-entendres. Last year pin-up model Lucy Pinder was the PYT and much hilarity ensued. The clip is here.

Update: This clip and this one are also quite entertaining.

Football is a game played with pads and an oblong air bladder that's pointy on both ends. (Silly Brits.)

Brandi Chastain, Mia Hamm etc. Hardly dainty little girlies, are they?
Anyway, I'm no football (Association) fan. I much prefer the noble game of Rugby Football Union because it's as tough as ice hockey but much more interesting to watch on TV - it's a strategic, subtle sport; hence why it hasn't taken-off in the US, I suppose (that was meant in a tongue-in-cheek way, honestly  ). Now that's a game for men and Amazons - forwards have only just discovered scrum caps, and they'd probably punch your lights out if you suggested they should wear a crash helmet. Anyway, rugger flows better than US pansy football - the referee doesn't blow his whistle every twenty seconds. :D
