Camille Lacey
Camille Lacey
A friend just sent me a brief clip featuring an unusually buff actress named Camille Lacey. It's from Creepshow III, which was released on DVD just last week. The movie is a horror anthology composed of five shorter features. In "Rachel the Call Girl," Lacey plays the title character, a serial-killer prostitute who likes knives and blood. (Unfortunately for Rachel, her latest victim may like blood even more than she does!) You can check out the trailer for "Rachel the Call Girl" at the Creepshow III official site.

Camille Lacey is by no means a bodybuilder, but she's obviously worked hard in the gym to develop her body. And the results speak for themselves, because she looks spectacular. It's a mystery to me why casting directors don't seek out more women with Lacey's build. Fit women are a draw in advertising and television - the Bowflex empire alone is built on a bevy of seriously buff women with obviously muscular arms and shoulders. So it's not out of the question that buff actresses can attract viewers to feature films, especially when cast in physically aggressive or powerful roles.

Thanks for the heads-up, Lingster.

This is exactly my view. There's a difference between, say a Nikki Fuller physique that we adore but most people would find intimdating, and this young lady who reminds me a little of Evangeline Lily in Lost; not huge by any means, but definetly buff.]

P.S. It appears that fans of Star Trek: The Hidden Frontier are already faniliar with her, as she plays a scientist in the series.

Tell me about it. I watched the whole miserable episode last night, and as near as I can tell she appeared in just one scene, wearing a Trek jumpsuit. (God save me from long fan films.)

I once had to spend two months in a laboratory during my final year as an undergraduate with a fellow 3rd-year student and a post-doctoral researcher who were both Star Trek obsessives, whilst I just wasn't interested. Of course, once they realised that I wasn't remotely interested in it, they delighted in boring me with plot synopses (is there a plural form of synopsis?) until was nearly tearing my hair out. God spare me from Sci-Fi obsessives, please.

If they're going to have everybody wearing nerdy jumpsuits, why hire Hollywood's second of two buff actresses, after Ev Lily? (Jess B appears to be losing muscularity and seems unrepentant about it - I posted about this the other week in the forums  ).

Synopses is correct. Personally I have nothing against "synopsises" either from a morphological point of view, but it does sound awkward as hell.

Anyway, why don't I tell you about "Blood Fever," a wonderful episode of Star Trek: Voyager

That's funny, I just rented Creepshow 3 the other night and was on my way to post a heads up in the forum about this very subject. Of special note are her amazing calves which only have a few seconds of screen time. She has an amazing gym body and hopefully we'll be seeing more of her soon.

How long is Camille Lacey's screen time? 10 minutes or so?
Silent One - Not long enough   | Registered | 2007-05-24 11:13:16
She's the main character of her particular story arc so it's probably closer to twenty minutes of screen time. During that time she's in virtually every shot. She's by far the best part of an otherwise bad movie.

Thanks for the spelling, Petechons, but I think I'll forego the plot details.
