I'm not 100% certain of the identity of the bodybuilder in an auction for six 1979 photo negatives, but I think it's Cammie Lusko. Here's the descriptive text:
6 NEGATIVES of FEMALE BODYBUILDER 1979 AAU #18
Here we are offering this set of 6 Black and White 35mm negatives of bodybuilders from the 1979 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) competition which was hosted by GOLD'S GYM. These are genuine 35mm Negatives from an estate of a photographer who was somehow involved with the event. The negatives come to you as a single 35mm uncut strip of 6. The strip measures approx. 1 3/8" x 9". These Negatives were scanned on a photo scanner in grayscale to show you what it will look like when they are developed, besides cropping the scan, no other adjustments have been made. The Negative is in very good condition. Unfortunately we are not sure who all the bodybuilders are and we have too many to research them all, so we will leave it up to the experts.
I guess I'm the expert on the spot, though there are many who know more about female bodybuilding than I. Still, as I said above, I think it's Cammie Lusko. Check it out yourselves and compare to the photo above right.
I first heard of her from an article in SI at about that time period. It was the first article I'd ever seen about women's BB in a big circulation magazine.
