Go check out the HerBiceps (free!) photo galleries from this past weekend's NPC Jr. USA competition. The lovely and talented Jennifer Lynn Cowan walked away with the trophy, both for her (lightweight) class and the overall. Honestly, I never thought that lightweight (natural) bodybuilder Cowan would or could ever be the future of the NPC, but that seems to be what's happened. So let's all utter a "Thank God for Jennifer Cowan" tonight before bed when we say our prayers, and make sure we add in a little something special for the judges, too. Thank you, judges!

Is this at long last the sea change many of us have hoped for?
I'm not at all surprised that she won, though, as her conditioning looks incredible in those free shots. Her upper body especially was obviously chiselled. Can't say I like the pinch-cheeked look that comes with it, but that's the nature of contest conditioning.
