American Gladiators

Valerie Waugaman and Jamie Reed have been (kinda sorta) announced as two of the four new female American Gladiators, which makes this a good time to send people to their photo galleries at John Stutz's site. Not that there's ever a bad time.

Additionally, here are the official sites of all four new female American Gladiators:

Update: Also check out the Valerie Waugaman images and video at HD Physiques.

Not that these ladies are not attractive, but I prefer a lot more the old team with Shelley Beattie, Raye Hollitt,Erika Andersch , Lori Fetrick , etc...

They were so buff, voluptuous and beautiful. Seems that today, only skinny women are considered feminine. And to me , that includes fitness models with thin muscular legs , arms and butts.

Maybe it's just me. But I think we regressed a lot.

It is not just you, I agree.

:(
I don't know why the media is so scared of muscle on a female. These girls look nice, they are in shape.

But I would trade ten of these fitness gals for one "ZAP" or "ICE" in the gladiator roster.

Too bad, maybe some of these gals will bulk up a bit.

...for the current era (when femuscle isn't appreciated  ) they're actually not bad choices. At least they're not the T&A bikini models I feared would be hired. :)

My personal choices though, would have been:

Heather Pedigo
Isabelle Turell
Debra Haley
and
Gina Davis.

No way of accusing them of lacking bulk or muscle. :D 8)

Those are great choices, I especially like Heather Pedigo, and Debra Haley.

I would also like Nicki Fuller perhaps.

Shawn Tan would also be a great choice. She's really buffed nowadays, not to mention she's extremely beautify and is 6' tall.

It's American Gladiators. They explicitly turned away Canucks.

Heh. Forgot about that detail. :)

Canuckness is not a mere detail.

Oddly enough, I did consider including her, but didn't because of a recent YouTube sighting of her with harsh appearance and a voice that sounded like a gravel driveway. I hope for all our sakes that I'm mistaken.

...indeed. The thought of seeing her defeating ordinary "fit" girls with next-to-no muscle is an exciting one. 8) :P

If we called it "North American Gladiators: we get Canadians in. BTW, I thought the term Canucks was a little derogatory or am I mistaken?
Lingster - Canucks derogatory?   | Super Administrator | 2007-12-01 09:59:20
Do you know the name of Vancouver's NHL hockey team? As far as slang terms for nationalities go, "canuck" is about as benign as they come.

Which is unfortunate, because I'd really like to see a good anti-Canadian slur word come into common parlance.

Is there not an American sports team of some sort called the "Redskins", though? Surely if you called a Native American a "Redskin" they would be entitled to feel miffed.

Er, I know that (unlike most Americans, I do have a clue about the geography of countries other than my own) - I'm saying that the fact that an American team has an offensive title means that, because this Vancouver team is called what it is does not prevent it from being offensive.
Lingster   | Super Administrator | 2007-12-01 19:52:53
The point is that if the term "canuck" were offensive to Canadians, Canadians would not have assigned that name to one of their own sports team.
cpbell0033944 - Yes,   | Registered | 2007-12-02 05:28:06
but the term "Redskins" is offensive to Native Americans, yet there is a team using that name, therefore you can't say that a word isn't offensive just because someone's used it to name a team.
Lingster - It is?   | Super Administrator | 2007-12-02 08:30:59
The point is that Canadians themselves use the term Canuck to describe themselves, so sports teams aside, it is not an offensive term.
