I love reading Pauline Nordin's blog -
Pauline Fitness Blog - because she's really pretty, smart and has no filter. So this week, everybody's favorite Scandinavian supergirl discussed some commonly-held misconceptions about herself. She starts like this:
The other day a guy at the gym I know approached me as I stepped down from the stepmill. "What, YOU're doing cardio???? I thought you never did that, that you just got everything for free, didn't need to work hard like the rest of us!" I explained to him that was as way far from the truth.
So, this got me thinking: How did I get to where I am today? Was I born this way? I understand that many people believe I had everything served on a silver plate, but let me tell you the REAL truth...
Then Pauline lists a bunch of these misconceptions and debunks them, one after the other. I sort of expected the post to end with "And the guy at the gym who dared to question my time investment? I crushed his larynx like a spent toilet-paper spool." But she didn't. Maybe next time. (You go, girl!)
She must have ovaries the size of basketballs - tough isn't a strong-enough word to describe her!

She was the trainer on the Scandinavian version of The Biggest Loser - a show where fat people are cajoled into losing weight. And because she's very petite it's kind of hilarious to see her bellowing at all these overweight people, who are so clearly intimidated by her.

I'll bet it is! I wouldn't like to face her - you posted a link to her journal a while back, I recall, which was pretty uncompromising.
