Thanks to tennis player Lleyton Hewitt's presence in the Australian Open, lots of people are seeing his buff sister Jaslyn Hewitt for the first time. The TV people like to do those family shots, where they show the wife, parents and amazonic younger sister. People notice Jaslyn looks very attractive, then they notice she looks very buff, and then they decide to say something nasty about her. A lot of bloggers believe they have to be "snarky". We can mostly thank Gawker Media for this, as it used "snark" as its trademark when it launched to great success in 2003. "Snark" is really just a verb form as "asshole", however. Blogger Mr. Irrelevant thinks it's blogworthy to make some of the usual, clichéd digs, and he labels it "sarcasm". Sarcasm, though, is a form of wit and implies humor or novelty. So it's not sarcasm.
