Kiana Tom

Parents.com recently added a baby-name entry for "Kiana", intended for expectant parents researching names for their newborns. The entry claims that:

Actress Kiana Tom may have inspired [the popularity of] the name with her 1999 role in the hit movie, Universal Soldier: The Return.

The Parents.com editors are probably unfamiliar with Kiana Tom's far more significant body of work during her decades as ESPN's fitness diva on shows including "Bodyshaping" and "Flex Appeal".

While it disturbs me that people who voluntarily sat through any of the Universal Soldier movies might reproduce, I'm only slightly less concerned that someone would name a daughter after the jiggling-yet-hardbodied image of hyper-sexy human perfection represented by Kiana Tom on her exercise programs.
