4:50am: Woke up and phoned Mike Eckstut to remind him he had to get out of bed to do a sunrise photoshoot with Catherine Holland. (The world needs more photographs of Catherine and I have done my duty in moving the ball forward.)
4:57am: Went back to sleep.
7:30am: Woke up, showered, got dressed, had the breakfast buffet at the Orleans Hotel (Blech).
8:00am: Text messaged John Stutz of
John Stutz Photo, asked, "Are you awake?"
8:03am: Reply from Stutz: "I am now."
9:00am: Took the shuttle bus to the Las Vegas Convention Center for the Olympia Expo.
9:30am: Met up with Stutz at Expo, began cruising.
10:00am: Came across , who in off-season condition is a muscular bombshell. I watched men reacting in stunned amazement as she walked across the convention floor.
11:45am: Stutz introduced me to Lindsay Cope, big beautiful brassy blond bodybuilder.
11:55am: Found a 15' poster of Jelena Abbou unfortunately not accompanied by an actual 15' Jelena Abbou.
12:00pm: Watched some of the prejudging of the figure competitors. The major drawback to figure judging is that it's painfully dull, so I lost interest quickly.
12:30pm: Had lunch with Emerald Cup 2007 figure winner Erin Heath, who is incredibly gorgeous, but is also one of those crazy smart girls who says utterly unpredictable, delightfully naughty, unfortunately unquotable things.
1:45pm: With Stutz, spoke to Natalie Hunt, who is even more beautiful in person than in photos.
2:10pm: Spoke briefly with Pauline Nordin, who seems less than enthusiastic about the prospect of being written up on female muscle sites.
I asked on UnrealMuscle why Annie R didn't even get a top 6 placing, to which I was informed, by a member who'd seen the webcast, that she was "carrying too much water", to which I rather acidly replied that I suppose that means that she didn't look mummified which is the "look ma, no skin" appearance they seem to go for. There was general agreement that Sarah D should have had 6th; the suggestion was that Betty got it because
1. She's old
2. She's nice
3. Her husband is a bigwig of some sort (I mustconfess I don't know who he is :oops: ).

I'm rapidly losing interest in Pro FBBing (other than Cindy, Annie R and a couple of others who I drool over, and of course Cindy is still my #1) because the women's physiques are starting to get that blocky, knotted appearance that the men have, (ugly on both sexes, IMO) some of them are so heavily roided it's not funny, and I hate the requirement for this ultra-dry look. I suspect you might be right re rigged results. P.S. Jelena finally looks how I always hoped she would - properly muscular and damn she looks every bit as hot as I'd dreamed. :twisted:
