I've added a new feature which allows me or any other author on the content portion of the site to spontaneously create a new forum thread.  So when an author writes a post, he has three options:
  1. No comments
  2. Comments here
  3. Comments linked to the forum
Authors should choose from the three options based on the amount of response interest they foresee from the post.  For example, a story in the library should nearly always have a forum link, whereas a FAQ should probably have comments here or no comments at all.

Just to test out the forum comments feature, I'm enabling it on this post.  Cross your fingers.

Update: Still a little glitchy.  I'll keep working on it.

Update 2: This doesn't work and I can't figure out why, so I've disabled it.  Maybe we'll try again later.
