shes awesome altho i havent seen any new photos of her.its a shame :(

When I first saw these shots they almost looked like a morph. And they morph really nicely too.  ;D
A friend had asked her about shooting with Awefilms a year or two ago when she resurfaced at a show and said she'd love too but her priorities had changed since she'd had her kid.

True, that is especially the case with her last work with WPW / RM, some of the photos in those sets are almost unreal in buffed-up appearance, even reminiscent of some of the artistic renderings that we see posted here.  But then towards the end of her competitive career she was pushing around (or so I read somewhere) 185 pounds (offseason) on her 5'-5" frame.  Which, if the case, was a 40 pound increase over her earlier work with them - and it shows, big time.

Wow, that forearm looks huge. For some reason I find that particularly sexy over near any other aspect in her pictures.

Cute face with probably one of the buffest bodies I've seen. A true rarity in the biz.

Been running searches this morning for the contest results from the Anaheim show and she didn't place in the top five, nor by the looks of things, the top seven / nine.  There were two line up (w/ one-piece outfits) pics over at the Muscle Mayhem forums, with someone that facially resembled her, but the poster never made mention of her by name.

Well, if I had to venture a guess as to why, (take note that Myriam Bustamante also didn't qualify) she was too femuscular for their (narrow-minded) tastes.

My feelings....have officically been hurt. :(

The only thing I can think of is that she is very new to figure, hence the low placement.

Wow she looks so different now I barely recognize her.  However, she does look gorgeous so I wish her the best of luck!

Thought I'd pass this along. Had a e-note dropped in my box from her Official Yahoo Group.  Seems that Denise will be competing at the IFBB Sacramento Pro Fitness competition on Nov 4, 2006.   8)



 

I cant help but notice, a lot of the BB moms turn to Figure after birth giving.

She has changed a lot between old and new careers.  I think (no, I know) that, having come across this lady for the first time here, I prefer her as she was in her FBB days.  Whoever said about her smile was right - that smile is almost as melting as my favourite Amazon Princess's :o (and from me, that's high praise indeed).  It occurs to me that some ladies look best in the more relaxed style of bodybuilding, and, although she's still beautiful, I think Ms Hoshor may well be one of those.
On a side issue, one of the photos showed Denise (and the photographer) on what was clearly a double-track railway line (sorry, railroad).  I'm a railway enthusiast as well as an FBB lover (my first and greatest passion is motorsport, however, but that's a whole other story), and I can confirm that trespassing on the railways in Britain is a very serious offence.  Right from the early days, railways in rural areas had to be fenced-off to stop livestock from being hit by trains (hence why British locos never had cowcatchers like US locos have), and, given that most of our trains are shorter, lighter and quite a bit quicker than in the US (most UK freight does around 50-60 mph, and, other than on single-track branch lines, passenger trains hit anything between 70 and 125 mph, the consequences of trespassing are very serious.
I therefore found the aforementioned photo somewhat alarming - are any US Amaz0ns members also knowledgeable about US railroad practice and whether doing this sort of thing is taken very seriously over there?

I've recently seen on YouTube the WPW footage which indeed shows a train of coal hoppers passing during filming.  In fact, the photographer jokingly asks Denise to keep a lookout behind him.

I heard a story about one of the superheroine fetish sites (never mind which one) - seems these morons had tied a girl to railroad tracks to re-enact a "Perils of Pauline" type scene, although they did not intend to use a real train.  As they were filming, they became aware of a train approaching.  They managed to get the girl off the track in the nick of time (just like in the original serial), despite some of the crew running away.

The stupidity of some people beggars belief. :o >:(

There have been rumors wandering around that the great Denise is returning to bodybuilding.  Now there has been a confirmation of those rumors.  Her fan club (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/denisehoshorfanclub/) has posted progress pictures from this summer.  She has a ways to go until she resumes her former massive glory, BUT, she is definitely way more of a hulking uberbabe than in her figure days!!  Here's a few thumbnails and to see the full pics I guess you have to join the yahoo group, or maybe check out her website. IMHO, figure or fitness was never meant to be her forte.  Given her genetics her frame not only begs to have additional size, but like Annie Rivieccio or Tina Lockwood, she handles the femuscular development of an uber-Amazon with disarming feminine grace.  8)

This is some great news.  Life is looking up when a great FBB from the past like her can make a comeback.

She is one of the first muscle girls I fell in love with.  I have so many (12 to be exact) of her WPW and RayMartin photosets!  I can't wait to see her getting big again!

My only criticism would be her legs.  Her legs were never her strongest feature and I think they would need to improve greatly if she wants to be truly competitive.

That being said, her arms which were ALWAYS her best feature are coming along very nicely and should quickly regain their previously massive size that I totally loved.

It's always interesting to see who suits Figure or Fitness and who suits FBBing - as AlexG said, Denise was always best for full-blown BBing, and it's therefore great news that she's coming back to her old style of thick, lush muscle. 8)

At a guess, based on the recentmost photos, I'd say her goal is to regain her competive 1997-1998 era level of development as a heavy-end middle weight rather then attempting to achieve her former super heavy-weight status circa 1999-2000.

Might not she be still bulking?

phew...glad she's not limited herself to figure any more and getting back to her forte of having a particularly huge upper body.  Denise H was one of the first big bodybuilder women I saw in a magazine.  Memories like that tend to stick around. ;D

Well, I met her in Vegas at USA's with her kid... she looks almost like a regular woman - shes still a little bulky ofcourse but you wouldnt say shes a bodybuilder. Looks like an offseason figure girl... I was still thrilled to meet her :)
