Do you rember what started your growth/muscle growth fetish?

For me,I think it was when I was 13 and saw the disney version of Alice in wonderland.
after that,it became a regular fantasy of mine.

I have no idea, but I'm pretty sure it was a lot earlier than that.

At any rate, as I somehow neglected to talk about it in there... I, like the Mighty Lingster, can't remember precisely when my interest in strong, muscular women began.  I'm fairly certain it was concurrent with my discovery that members of the opposite sex were interesting for something other than pulling their hair and teasing about cooties...

I do remember sneaking out of church to go down to the local booksellers and browse through the various magazines with FM in them.  Couldn't care less about FLEX, at the time, because they never had many pictures or any good ones, but I remember Female Bodybuilding- yes, that was its title- and WPW were both carried.  I think I must've been ten or eleven...

Looks to me like someone needs to lurk more, or at least READ some threads first.

Wow.  I haven't really looked in here in a while, because I thought I'd said everything I needed to say, already.  And then I see this:
You know, sometimes people are going to ask something that's already been asked elsewhere.  Even with search functions and virtually unlimited time, people occasionally make mistakes.  Now, when you encounter that, there're a couple ways to handle the situation.  The first- what I tried to do- is to try and inform the person who made the redundant post so that they can satidfy their curiosity.

The other response is to say something sarcastic or hostile, inspiring pretty much everyone else to become unpleasant towards you in return.  I don't know if it was your intention to be hurtful, Philkansevin, but what you wrote could easily be interpreted that way.  Perhaps in the future you might consider your words more carefully?

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but a little net-etiquette can go a long way to keeping this forum enjoyable for everybody here.

I was first introduced to growth with the Super Friends cartoon.

Remember Giganta, that red head from the Legion of Doom, when I first saw her grow as tall as a mountain, and she was just laughing, well that made a memorable impression on my 8 year old mind.

I don't remember exactly when it all started, but it probably started one day realizing how powerful looking some women are, just maintaining such a strong, healthy body, while still being beautiful. I fantasize lots of someday meeting a strong woman like that and making her as happy as I can. ;)

Earliest possibility I can remember is the Real Ghostbusters episode "Venk-Man!" I must've been about 5 or 6 at the time. Male or not, that was one hell of a muscle growth scene.

Well the psychology approach to this question can't just stem from when you were starting puberty. Most of our preferances and such are established at a much younger age, perky breasts for example come from the way a child is used to viewing breasts from their low vantage point. So my growth fetish, and I believe this, comes from an erecting penis, mine to be precise. And since I would always be getting aroused when I saw it grow, I established a connection between sex, arousel, and growth from a fairly early period. This can also explain many other things that probably are best left unsaid as it is a little uncomfortable to think about, but this is definitely the most likely CAUSE of growth fetishism.

The START of when I first realised this fetish was woah, very young. Maybe 7 I think, there was a school house rock short they would play on saturday mornings, and this one was doing a feature on the suffix, and the part that I loved to watch over and over was a short 10 seconed part of it where they sang and animated "girls are tall, get taller, boys are small, get smaller. Till one is the tallest and one is the smallest of all." With the girl growing and the boy shrinking each time the word tall or short were said, with the boy ending up standing only halfway up her shins.

For me I was just being curious about girls/women when I was at primary school.

I used to sit on the floor playing until the teacher walked by, then I would fall onto my back and let her step over me, thus allowing an up-skirt view of her legs and panties.

The idea developed into if I stay close to the floor I stand more chance of seeing more legs and private areas, thus I also got to see a lot more of their shoes.

Thus developing a whole stream of fetish seeds to grow in my head.

The thing that solidified it in my mind was seeing an animated episode of the Incredible Hulk, in which Dr Banner was shrunk to like 6 inches high, got angry at a cat and a cockroach trying to kill him and turned green.
There was a scene in that in which the female lab assistant walks towards the Dr and steps over him, then go back and steps over him a 2nd time. Magic.

I honestly can't pinpoint where it started, it's been part of my psyche in one way or another as far back as I can remember.  Incredible Hulk comic books maybe?  I'm really not sure.

I do know a number of things that solidfied the attraction for me.  When Robotech first aired in America the Zentradi were giants, including the women.  I remember being dissapointed when one of them shrunk down to spy on the humans and never grew back.

The She Hulk comics and her early appearances on the old Hulk cartoon (or is this so obvious I shouldn't even bother mentioning it?)

One of my friends had an older sister who was very athletic.  Right about the time I first really started paying attention to girls I saw her in a sleeveless blouse and realized that she actually had muscles.  I had the worst crush on her for years afterward and a sleeveless shirt/tank top fetish that lasts to this day.

Then of course when I started working out seriously in high school and began buying magazines like Flex and Muscle and Fitness I was exposed to the world of competive female bodybuilding.

Ah, good times.

The slightly younger sister of one of my neighborhood friends is the person who probably started my female growth fantasies.  She had always been a cute, pixie-ish, shrimpy little giggly pain who would constantly pester her brother and me for attention.  There was also a baby sister who was two years younger.

One spring she began acting even more giggly than usual and her pestering started to become more along the lines of flirtation.  I also noticed that my friend seemed to hit his growth spurt.  I did not.  I was a very late bloomer.  She and her brother spent the first half of summer vacation at separate camps  The family always spent the month of August traveling in their RV.

I did not see them when they returned but I did overhear their Mom telling my Mom about their trip and how her kids never seemed to stop eating the entire time.

Then on the first day back to school I was arranging my new locker when I heard the familiar giggly voice calling my name behind me.  I probably rolled my eyes and prayed for patience as I stood and then turned to face her.  Normally I would have had to look down a bit to meet her eyes. 

However, this day my eyes met her chin.  I was then immediately distracted by her wonderfully deformed and obviously overstuffed blouse.  After a moment of shock, she used her index finger under my chin to guide my eyes up to hers.  I could see that she obviously enjoyed my agog reaction.

She hugged me and I could instantly tell that I was overpowered.  Her once bony back and arms were gone.  I hated to hear the bell ring.  As she bounced off to class, I could also see that her once bony butt had enjoyed an amazing makeover as well.

She asked me to the Homecoming dance and we started to date.  Meanwhile her parents bought a set of weights because my friend started to become interested in football and her Dad wanted her to strengthen her back muscles to offset her still ballooning bust. 

She really liked being bigger and stronger than me and enjoyed working out.  This of course also served to further increase her advantage over me.  Unlike her more modestly apportioned classmates, for a while she seemed almost oblivious to her breasts but they certainly attracted a lot of attention from others.  After a few months she started seeing guys that were bigger and more mature-looking.  We remained friends and later that year she and I hooked-up again.  Luckily for me she had decided that most mature-looking guys usually aren't.

She grew another couple of inches that year and eventually topped-out at 5' 11", like her Mom.  Her brother didn't pass her until Christmas.  He topped out at 6' 4", like his Dad.  That Spring I finally started to grow, too.  However, it was another two years before I caught up to her in height and by that time their "baby" sister had outgrown both of us.

For me it was probably the Alice in Wonderland Disney cartoon.  That was my first encounter with female growth.  The second was the Attack of the 50ft woman 50's classic!

Around the time of my grandmother's death, I was watching the PEOPLE Magazine Show on her TV, and I saw a female bodybuilder for the first time, doing a double biceps flex - I don't know who she was, though.  This started an obesession with female muscle that has laster for years.

As for being hooked on female muscle growth, I became hooked on that after I watched a Hanna-Barbera Popeye episode in which Olive Oyl grew into a mighty muscle woman on Goon Island after eating Popeye's spinach.

For me it was probably around 17-19. I always had a thing for women with very large breasts. The ones that didn't sag and thrust out, as if they were telling gravity to go screw itself. I actually found women with breast implants more attractive than naturals, because of the perky shape. One day I was cruising around the internet looking for BE and CB related BE and stumbled across some FMG and blinked. It was like a gateway drug into FMG and I was hooked and haven't really looked back since. :)

The idea of someone getting stronger fascinated me when I was much younger. I remember watching cartoons or reading books where a character would suddenly acquire or develop huge amounts of strength and I would actually get turned on. At the time, I had no idea what was going on (I seem to remember thinking to myself 'why is my willy getting hard'...bit graphic, maybe, but a bit 'lol' all the same).

At some unspecified point I started thinking/fantasizing about strong women. It may have been 'Hook', where Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell grabs Robin Williams and flies away with him (I remember asking my Dad how she got that strong heheh), but either way at some point it stopped being random feats of strength, and more female feats of strength.

Then I hit puberty, got the internet, and everything branched off from there. Searching for 'strong women', got me websites about women who were mentally strong at first, but then I started finding websites that sort of had what I wanted, I think one of the first one I found was Diana the Valkyries site. At the time I was about 11, but after bit more surfing and searching, I learned of FBBs, Fitness Models, and eventually FMG and BE. I found Muscles of DeeKay not a huge amount of time after that, probably still 11, maybe 12, and have used that as my main resource since. In fact, I happened upon Transvigor via DeeKay.

So there you have it. Useless information.

This may sound generic, but I was at the tender age of nine when I saw the 90's She Hulk transformation for the first time. That pretty much started it all and I rapidly became obsessed with it and it became a fetish when I hit puberty.

That's it in a nutshell.

The most classic way possible:Probably something I saw on TV,maybe while flipping the channels.

I'm not sure exactly, but I can remember some distinctive moments from the fourth grade.

There was a girl named Alicia that sat behind me in class...  I remember that I was about average height and weight for a boy my age...  About 4'5, 75 pounds probably.  SHE, however, stood 5'6 and weighed 100 pounds.  Seriously, she looked like a very youthful, flat-chested adult.  Every day she'd pick up my chair in as I sat in it and tell me how small and weak I am.  I tried my best to ignore it and not to make a scene (because I knew she could wreck me, and I kind of liked the attention) but that moment stuck with me. 

When I began my first sexual fantasies in sixth grade they involved making a girl of my class, Katie, who was stacked at size C, tall, strong and bossy like Alicia.  Ever since that encounter most of my growth fantasies have involved characters that share the same attributes as Alicia did.

I saw Alicia again at the super market after graduating high school.  She sat at a bench outside.  Judging by her size, frame and musculature I'd say she's about 50 pounds heavier than me.  She's about a full head taller than me, last I knew, and her breasts were nearly as big as my head.  She hadn't graduated yet;  apparently she was held back a year because she was teasing some boy in junior high and he hit her, so she hospitalized him.

It helped with the fantasies that while I was growing up the girls in my high school and junior high were a little stronger and taller than average.

Yeah it's obv. hard to believe.  You'd have to be there.  But I live out in a rural community, and the farm girls get pretty big and strong.  If the average woman is 5'4, their average is probably 5'7-5'8.  The schools mix rural, "urban" (if you could call it that) and suburban lifestyles so the people are of diverse sizes.  Generally a farm girl raised on organic milk vegetables will grow to be taller than a guy raised on McDonalds and soda.  There are lots of sports programs for girls too.  The fat ones do cheerleading, the fit ones do lacrosse, volleyball, football, basketball, etc.  If the guys aren't on the football or wrestling team then it's a safe bet that they're inside all the time playing video games.

I forget what image started it, but I know when I was about 13 or so I started having dreams of girls I knew growing taller than me and amazingly muscular.  I might add that this was before I knew very much about female bodybuilding and had only limited exposure to it.  The first few times I saw very muscular real women I did not find it attractive, but had a hard time getting the imagery out of my head.

Maybe there is something psychological about that.  Like in adolescence girls hit their growth spurt earlier than boys, and begin their way toward sexual maturity, like they discover their own sexual power.  Maybe the physical strength and musculature represents another manifestation of that same power.

Too many cartoons and the scary monster that is the internet.

That's what started many growth fantasies.

For me, it started at a very young age, say no older than 9 years, possibly a little younger. I had my first "girlfriend" at that age. That was at a time when you never let your male friends know you liked a girl or suffer endless ribbing. She was cute and since I didn't have any sisters, I held that childish wonder of her being a girl and "different" than a "boy", if you know what I mean. She didn't "act" like the typical girl with me. She liked to do "boy" things like climb trees, run around, somersaults, wrestle, she even liked to do chin-ups from a tree branch. Not play with dolls or such, at least not around me. We were very close in height and weight. She was strong, for a girl, I thought. She even flexed her arm for me and asked me to feel it. And I think we did a little childhood exploring with kissing. Anyway, I liked her and I do remember feeling it was great having a girlfriend like her.

I think I carried that experience with me into my early teens. When I was discovering my developing muscles and wanted to start lifting weights. When I started feeling those first workout muscle pumps, and being a teenager, it was a bit sexual. I then understood  what Arnold S. meant with his statement of working out was better than sex. Although I didn't think it was better than sex, I thought it would make great foreplay. I remember my fantasies shifting from mostly amply breasted girls toward wondering if a girl were to exercise with weights, would she feel like I felt? Would she feel her swollen pumped up muscles? And would it turn her on? This was at a time before female bodybuilding at it is today. I think that was the start of my female muscle growth fantasies which have persisted to this day. From that time if I see a girl or woman with bare arms, my eyes are drawn to her arms in hopes of seeing some beautiful muscular lines.

then, i saw a fews pics that represented what i ve dreamed, like some she hulk sequence, or in some cartoons, like tiny toons...

For me it was my first year of Junior High school.  During that school year I grew almost a foot to my current height, but at that age I was way taller than anyone else...  It was also way cool to see how much I'd changed from the begining of that year to the end.  I loved being tall, even though there were quite a few akward moments and kids that age are always mean, especially the girls.  I wanted more, I wanted to be the tallest and that led me to the growth fantasy.  From there it was only a short step to the muscle growth...

I loved those milk ads, though I was pretty set in my ways (late teens) by the time they ran. 

The only one of those I remember seeing was the one with the boy whose head turns into a balloon in the end. Had muscle growth in it, too.

...It's very weird that I'm straight despite most of the more prominent muscle growth scenes from my childhood being male.

Don't think it's so strange, sounds like normal heterosexual wish fulfillment as opposed to being homosexually attracted to male muscularity - i.e. an internal desire for you (I would like to look that way, too) vs. an external desire to you (wow, that's hot, a major turn-on).

For me it was a couple of Superfriends episode and a Plasticman episode.

One SF episode was when a radioactive meteor lands and makes things grow.  Eventually Wonder Woman got too close and got turned into a giant she-hulk clone.  Yummm!  The other one was the Amy Zonn episode.  Some female scientist thinks women are being discriminated against and makes some formula that grows her into a giantess.  Double yummm!

The Plasticman one also involved a radioactive meteor.  It ends up turning Penny into a giantess.

I was probably around 9-10 years old.

As a Brit who had to put up with milk ads with two obnoxious boys going on about Ian Rush (moustachioed soccer player c.1987 for Liverpool) advocating the drinking of milk, I wish for once that I'd grown-up in the US instead because those milk adverts are great!

Yeah, I remember those cartoons from the late '70s - early '80s.  I believe the Plastic Man episode was called "Mr. Meteor".  The man who had the meteor turned into a muscular giant but unfortunately didn't do the same for Penny.

The episode with Wonder Woman growing also affected the Wonder Twins.  The female Wonder Twin, Janna, almost grew as large as WW.  Two female muscular giants in one episode has never happened before, has it?

My own particular fantasy started with the Hanna-Barbara cartoon show, Sinbad Jr.  He pulled the strap on his magic belt to before very muscular and strong.  One episode, "Rainmaker Faker", reportedly had a female using his belt to grow big and strong.  I remember watching that episode as a kid but I cannot remember if that was the name of it or not.  I have it on film but do not have a 16mm player to watch it.  I tried it on an 8mm editor but it makes for very sketchy viewing.   :-\

That's right. It could also be a self-pleasure to experience or fantasize transforming into someone / something of immense power. Seeing another guy grow could trigger that imagination or something similar. I frequently daydream about lifting planets and stuff and growing. But it doesn't mean I am attracted to other guys. It's always fun doing it with a woman too.  ;D

I remember watching the simpsons episode where marge becomes a female bodybuilder. I felt good after that episode and I didn't know why at the time. That was when I was around 12. That same day (it was during the summer) I looked up female bodybuilders on the internet and found lots of pictures of them. Well, my dad comes home and apparently he had a program monitoring my computer. Before I go on, my family is extremely conservative and we live in Texas. He called me into his room and told me that I was a disgusting pervert. Then he called me gay, which I'm not, but it sure made me confused until my sexual interests developed into not just liking muscular girls but girls of all nature. I just liked the muscular ones better. Anyway, to this day, my dad is still an a** about it. He told my sister and brother, who were disgusted, and I had to tell them he was just joking.

Don't be ashamed of it, it takes time, but a person should not be critiqued for liking a muscular and fit woman.

For many, it is still a taboo ideal, and they are probably are over-reacting to the various insecurities that they may holding inside.

Muscular women are fucking awesome.  Hopefully you are not living at home anymore.  Move out.  Save your money, and start going to some of these conventions to see these lovely amazing gals in person.

Yeah dude, you can't help but love muscular women; it's in our blood.  Once you get more freedom, definitely consider exploring the world even more.

I hardly remember when I started to take Growth Fantasies. I believe that originated from my taste for female muscles.
Also as I said before, reading magazines and animation just made me have more appreciation for this fetish.

I'm not not necessarily a growth guy, but have been into strong women since I was like 5. Wasn't quite sure what it was back then. I remeber being so turned on as a kid by the Popeye cartoon never Kick  a Woman wiht the blonde boxing instructor who looked and sounded like a muscular Mae West beating up Olive Oyl. That was my first memory for sure. The other cartoon with the hillbilly amazoon on Pepye was also a turn on. There wasn't much on in the 70's when I was growing up. Once I hit my teens in the late 70's and early 80's it evolved into strong girls and fantasies about muscle women and the next thing you knew they appeared on the scene. I recall being amazed by the amazing Charonne when i was like 14 and picked up a wrestling mag at the store and fingered through it. I saw muscle girls and an early LH ad and realized I was not the only one on the planet interested in this.

U sedto dream of crazy muscle women and in most cases the womenactually wound up equlaing or supassing what i dreamed. You could't find jack as a15 year old suburabn kid in 1980. I can tell you that. Much worse as a 12 year old in 77. I liked mary Jack Armstrong frommget Smart and some of the other female characters. Found Mary jack one Saturday afternoon and things began picking up slowly. Vicky Gagne and Jan Todd were two others I loved as a teen boy along with the early fbbs. I also had a couple of pretyy solid neighborhood girls who I imagined were bigger than they were in my dreams, but were strong for that era and not bad looking.
The Popeye stuff was first though. Maybe that is why I like the one sided mistmatched girlfights with good looking bullies like i do. That fit the m Mae West character to a T.

I never expected it, so it was weird when it came to life in the 80's and 90's as I grew up.

That was the original  never kick a woman before Turner colorized it in version later. No grwoth but you can see the term catfight as Olive turns into a cat after the spinach. She does grow muscles in her firght with the hillbillyy girl in the 1956 cartoon.

This was pretty cutting edge for 1936. They girl was suposed to appear again as a menace to Olive but censors killed it. Those bastards.

That reminds me (Although it's off topic) there were all kinds of new versions of old cartoon when I was a kid. One of them was "Popeye and son" where Popeye had a teenage son as you can tell from the title. Anyway I always hoped that Popeye's son would meet a hot girl who would be his love interest in the cartoon. Then she could sometimes eat spinach and grow muscles and be the hero in the cartoon some times. Or the both of them could eat spinach and be a growing couple together.

On topic, My first was I think the saved by the bell episode where the tall girl Jessie has a dreem about growing taller and taller. Granted it was cheesy and fake looking but it inspired me to imagine what it really would look like.

I really think it was the Incredible Hulk TV series.  When I was very young it would scare the crap out of me when Bruce Banner became the Hulk.  I'd run and hide.  I think over the years my mind must've become fixated on this and then upon adolescence asked itself, "Hey, what if that was a woman wearing the shirt that was tearing open, or a woman's foot violently ripping out of her boots?"

Also, seeing the Attack of the 50 ft. Woman remake growth scene really put the nail in the coffin, I think.

For me it probably started when I was at primary school. I spent most of my time with playing with the girls, as all the other boys were only interested in football (that’s proper football not the American rubbish). This meant that I ended up supporting the female side of things rather than the male side. As time went on this naturally included physical capacity, and my interest in strong and muscular females probably developed from there.

I have no idea.  I was stuffing my sister's Barbie clothes with cotton balls to simulate muscles as early as age 8 or 9.

If it wasn't that tiny toons episode, then I'd have to guess it was an episode of Amazing Stories. basically a student creates a mixture that brings photos to life. He uses it on a centerfold, as she comes to life her shadow towers over him. She says something along the lines of "kiss me I'm yours" cut to commercial before reveal. I had to leave before it came back on.

 

I remember those, spielberg directed those.  I thought they were terrible!  But the giantess one was pretty cool.

For me, personally, it was the Sledgehammer episode where the two bodybuilders were ripping out of their clothes. At the time my mother and aunt watched the show quite a bit, so I did too. I don't remember exactly how old I was at the time(7, I believe) but after that scene, I just became enamored with the idea of growing, muscular women...

I can't really remember. I was aware of this fetish at a really young age, and I was a little bit of confused, because the others didn't seem to notice anything special in these things which were arousing me a lot. Later I found people like me in the internet, and that was a really big relief for me. I was not alone.

For me, my growth fantasies were already somewhat present when I was in primary school, and there were already one or two girls at least a head taller than me. But it became much more pronounced when I was about 11 or 12, and the difference to the tall girls in class became ever greater. At one point, perhaps at 12 or 13 years, I noticed that my shoulders were only slightly over the belt over the tallest three girls, and my head clearly under their boobs. So my fantasies were sometimes really just in front of me. And while in the next couple of years the difference to the girls was diminishing a bit again (not very much though), now many of my male friends started to outgrew me rather dramatically - one who had been only slightly taller than me when we were 11 to 14, was towering over me two or three years later, a foot taller by the time we graduated. Even now at 26, (I'm about 5'4"), I am still excited (and can't help lowering myself inconspicuously a little bit to increase the fun) when I notice (as I did yesterday in a store) a girl who has perhaps not even entered her teens but is already taller than me, her butt at the height of my abdomen. Or when I stand in line, behind a woman who is so tall that I can study her butt without having to look down very much....

Wow! I can relate to that in a big way. I know for a fact that I was aware of my paraphilia in the 3rd grade because an incident is forever burned in my memory. A bunch of us kids were in the locker room changing for gym class engaging in the usual boyish banter. One of the guys asked the group if they ever noticed becoming erect. One guy reported that this happens to him when he sees a photo of a naked woman. The whole group voiced affirmation that this was, indeed, the most common cause of this bizzaere physiologocal phenomenon.
In my youthful naivete, I immediately chimed in that seeing a muscular woman causes this, too. Instead of the validation I expected, I was greeted with chirping crickets.
I was like Ben Stein in "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" - anyone? anyone? After that I kept my mouth shut about what I like.
It was so liberating to find on-line communities like this. There's more of us out there than I ever could have immagined.   

For me, it was the popeye cartoons when the animals eat the spinach and not popeye.
