Title: warning labels! Post by: peirrotlunaire on Jun 29, 2008, 12:10 PM I've noticed an increase in stories and art depicting people under 18 in sexual acts and behaviour. Frankly, I don't come here for that. I was wondering if in addition to a NSFW label we could add one for content with under 18 characters as well? I know its possible here, that's why I ask, I almost don't ever go to Diana the Valkyrie's website anymore because half the stories lately have this type of well...filth!
Thanks Title: Re: warning labels! Post by: AlexG on Jun 29, 2008, 12:27 PM Instead of complaining about it, why aren't you reporting it to the moderators? That sort of thing is not suppose to be posted here, ever - Lingster has made that crystal clear.
Policing the forums only works if all of you participate in the process. Title: Re: warning labels! Post by: peirrotlunaire on Jun 30, 2008, 07:15 PM Perhaps I wasn't quite specific enough; obviously my last statement was a bit too general. If I thought any story violated the rules I would report it. I don't mean just sexual acts, but those stories obviously leading in that direction. Amaz0ns has been very good in keeping the stories clean as per Lingster's rules, which I for one appreciate. I'm being somewhat prudish here but I was referring to those stories involving teenagers growing etc.. that while they may not contain graphic sex, hint at them in fairly obvious way. I realize that some people really enjoy them and that is fine, young love and growth and all that. I was wondering if they could be indicated in such a way that I don't have to obsessively scan for character age in every story before I read it.
Title: Re: warning labels! Post by: dcmatthews on Jul 01, 2008, 06:18 PM Maybe we should start using abbreviations in the subject line, like "UAG" for "Underage growth" (or "TAG" - Teenage Growth"?)
I know how you feel, I'm a bit squeamish about that myself. Title: Re: warning labels! Title: Re: warning labels! Post by: Solarian on Jul 09, 2008, 03:31 AM I think that tags like NSFW is pointless nowadays... People just don't care about them... (including myself)
If someone want to see something they WILL see it. But I agree that there sould be no underage story here... But reporting to moderators, pointing fingers is not the best solution... But reporting to moderators, pointing fingers is not the best solution... I do rely on the NSFW tags because that is where I check this board. I appreciate them. As far as the "TAG" or "UAG" labels go, I guess if some of the stories/art that has been posted here are viewed as dancing the line but not crossing it, it might be helpful for those that just aren't comfortable with that material. As far as reporting questionable stories to the moderators, I feel that is the responsibility of everyone here. It is still the moderator's call and if they do not feel it has crossed the line, then so be it, but they cannot and should not be expected to read every post to make sure it complies.
