Title: S is for... Post by: Dr.Otto on Jul 07, 2008, 04:42 AM Can you believe at one time I wanted to illustrate kids' books? Man, did I take a wrong turn somewhere...
So yeah, an idea suggested some time ago from a guy who reads too many comics and has far too much time on his hands. "S works for Sheeri too," he said, "so Supergirl's costume is perfect for her." So yeah, this. Slowly getting my muse back, though for some reason any time I want to draw something remotely anime-inspired, it evolves into Sheeri. Not questioning where the pencil goes just yet, though...we'll let the lines sort themselves out. Maybe this shoulda been in the superheroines forum? I dunno. Sheeri! Post by: tracer on Jul 07, 2008, 05:14 AM Glad to hear you're getting calls from your muse again. This picture of Sheeri, I look at it, and I think to myself, 'She needs to do something with all of that muscle.' Perhaps there will be action scenes, dream sequences, and other tropes of the super powered genre? At least, I can only hope there will be more. An Appreciator of your work, Tracer Title: Re: S is for... Post by: AlexG on Jul 07, 2008, 06:31 AM If you're asking, I'd say it's a toss up - either here, at Muscular Women Art, or Superheroines, would have been appropriate.
Lookin' very xtra-large, Sheeri is these days - nice! 8) Title: Re: S is for... Post by: 00tree on Jul 07, 2008, 08:34 AM OMG I'm in love! :o

Title: Re: S is for... Post by: BlackKusanagi on Jul 07, 2008, 01:05 PM Wow, seeing her will make me work harder than a locomotive!!!

I'd love to see any original designs for this 'Daydream Supergirl' Sheeri's costume. You've got an eye for interesting threads and the sort of epic loot that this PolymerCity alumni would be able to get a hold of in a four-color setting tickles the imagination. Thank you and your muse for sharing this powerfully cute picture Dr.O. 8) (Black Kusanagi that 'Bigger Than Cheesus' smily would make an awesome motorcycle helmet) Title: Re: S is for... Post by: BlackKusanagi on Jul 07, 2008, 01:39 PM Well it is the Awesome smiley. :P
Title: Re: S is for... Post by: Fonk on Jul 07, 2008, 02:56 PM That's a supreme piece of art. Many, many thanks for posting.
Title: Re: Wow! Post by: Dr.Otto on Jul 07, 2008, 06:30 PM I'd love to see any original designs for this 'Daydream Supergirl' Sheeri's costume. That would be a interesting idea. The only alternate version I've had (to avoid the whole copyright issue) involves this same outfit with an oval cut-out where the S is currently (somewhat of a Supergirl/Power Girl costume hybrid): (http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/7244/superwb6.jpg) (http://imageshack.us) (http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/7244/superwb6.6835a5a237.jpg) (http://g.imageshack.us/g.php?h=88&i=superwb6.jpg) Title: Re: S is for... Post by: Ashlee on Jul 07, 2008, 10:03 PM Very nice sexy and cute at the same time?
But High heels? Ouch! on the landings. I prefer Low ,wide heel shoes ,works boots,Really thick sole shoes or natural stride shoes. Kids Books HUH? Comic Books characters mary-jane the wasp and sue storm would not need anybodies help! I can just see your Little miss muffet art!Or Dick and Jane take Sally to school! Great work on the art!!!!Glad you took a different path! ;) Title: Re: S is for... Post by: rob000 on Jul 07, 2008, 10:53 PM OMFG
Awesome! Title: Re: S is for... Post by: 00tree on Jul 08, 2008, 01:57 AM Wow Sheeri sure has evolved as a character. Totally different than she was when she first appeared. I was wondering though who is stronger now, her or Andra, and what exactly are there power levels?
Sorry for the question that I'm sure is always asked but I like to know stats for my favorite characters and both of the previous girls count. ;D Title: Re: S is for... Post by: JimmyDimples on Jul 08, 2008, 02:28 AM Ouch on landing on the high heels?
Assuming they didn't simply break off under her weight on landing. I am curious... what IS her height and mass in this impressive picture? (I know that's not NEGA-Sheeri... but that expression'd still get me concerned if I were in her vicinity.) Title: Super Powered Girl! Post by: Cowprobe on Jul 08, 2008, 02:49 AM Wow it's SPG!
It's strange how such a elementary change can make all the difference in Sheeri's presentation. Thank you for sharing this alternate costume Dr.O. ;) Title: Re: S is for... She's damned close to 8 feet tall (if not a touch more) and weighs well over a quarter-ton (somewhere between 550-650 lbs). Title: Re: S is for... Post by: Lupus14 on Jul 08, 2008, 05:56 AM I always loved your art, but it makes me sad that Andrah (who I like the best) is now falling back. I hope Dr. Otto mixes some potion, that will create a mega-andrah, so that she will be on the top of the strength chain.
As to this picture, I find it a bit unsymmetrical. Her legs just seem to short compared to the upper body and head. Btw. I really really liked that flexing Pandagirl you made! I can hardly await more of your art. Title: Re: S is for... I wouldn't worry too much, after all, this exists well outside the strip continuity wherein here, Sheeri's on her own. As I've mentioned before, this whole bit is more of a side-story kinda thing, or even a re-imagining of the character. i guess what I mean is that the two Sheeris are totally separated; I would never use this version in PCC because it's a totally different dynamic and setting. This version is more for just screwing around, not to mention I'm not all that creative when it comes to creating new characters. Now that PCC is more or less done (I haven't updated the site in over 8 months), based on fan response, this version of Sheeri is really the best thing that's come out of the whole thing. I'm not gonna fight it at this point, but rather I've decided to embrace this aspect of her popularity...I'm not getting any younger, and if I can be remembered for anything at all in my life, maybe it'll be this. I've come to realize that not everyone can be a mainstream artist, and I should just focus on what I seem to be best at. Yeah, as is pretty obvious here, the body is way disproportionate. It's not that the legs are too short, but rather that the torso is far too massive (and wide) for them. Title: Re: S is for... Post by: Dr.Otto on Jul 08, 2008, 06:44 AM Oh yeah, and the heels are tungsten-reinforced. :p

I would like to see a mega Andrah and well. She's already so hot it hurts. A pic of her and mega Sheeri arm wrestling with muscles and veins bulging everwhere and on even turms would be damn sexy. Title: Re: S is for... Post by: Dr.Otto on Jul 08, 2008, 09:38 AM Hmm, well...I could always rethink the whole thing. Having both on equal terms could be pretty interesting.
Title: Re: S is for... Post by: Lupus14 on Jul 08, 2008, 01:41 PM Quote It's not that the legs are too short, but rather that the torso is far too massive (and wide) for them. Excuse if I talk back Master ;D... but I think the torso ist just right. Shoulders, breast and arms are in good relation to the size of her head. It gets disportionate from the belly downwards. Now the breast sit just perfect on her chest. They are not saggy and yet, they cover her belly - meaning that the waist was made to short. Her arms hang down to her...knees! Not because the arms are to long, but because the lower part of her body is to short. And I am glad you are reconsidering the thing with Andrah. Thanks and best regards Title: Re: S is for... I'm not trying to push, I've just always had a thing for the punk rock style and Andrah's hair is definately that style. I am flattered that you would consider my sugjestion. I've always loved your art style and look forward to more pics in the future. :D Title: Re: S is for... Thanks and best regards You could be right, but 99% of the figures we draw are disproportionate. I'm not a perfectionist by any means; I tend to eyeball what looks right in my head. :p Title: Re: S is for... Post by: 10-4 on Jul 09, 2008, 12:31 AM Can you believe at one time I wanted to illustrate kids' books? Man, did I take a wrong turn somewhere... Oh, I don't know. That would make for one heck of a kids book illustration. ;D Title: Re: S is for... Post by: Number6 on Jul 09, 2008, 05:11 AM Awesome Sheeri image (as always), CM! Any plans to elaborate with a whole League of drawings? ;)
I can see it now...Andrah as Wonder Woman, having used her lasso to tie up the hapless Otto as Batman...or alternately, Andrah as Giganta, with Otto as Flash (from the end of JLU)...Lindy as Hawkgirl (no longer needing an airship to travel the skies)...not sure about Mistress Laura, maybe as a cross between Circe (sorceress) and Solomon Grundy (undead)? Well, I'm sure whatever you draw next will be great no matter what the subject...keep up the amazing work! Title: Re: S is for... Post by: Buddy_Busen on Jul 09, 2008, 02:36 PM Lindy as Hawkgirl.....
Hmmmmmm Title: Re: S is for... Post by: Solarian on Jul 10, 2008, 01:08 AM Wow... The idea of MegaAndrah and MegaSheeri armwrestling... OMFG... :) That is something that'll blow our mind:)Of course only if Chris will do it:) And in that imaginery picture Dr. Otto should be on the background on the edgeo f passing out:)
And my last thing: We can never say enough time that we don't want to push you, and we're always grateful when you draw something. Thank you Chris! Title: Re: S is for... Post by: trilliwig on Jul 11, 2008, 04:24 PM Yup, thanks for the heroically-proportioned drawing of NegaSheeri, as always. ;D
