Title: My progress Post by: SnowLeopardTaur on Jul 14, 2008, 02:11 PM So, I had posted some of my art in Muscular Women art and mentioned I was training, cpbell0033944 suggested I post a little about my muscle-building progress. So blame him!
My Story I'm 25 and live in Canada. Last summer I began to work out for the first time. And by the first time, I mean like the first time EVER! All my life I have never been the athletic type. In school I was always the worst kid in Phys. Ed., always last in races, the worst player on the team, the weakest kid there. When I got older, I gained weight and while I can't say I ever hated my body, I just wasn't happy with it. Originally I started to work out in addition to dieting just to lose weight and get all hot, but I became friends with a guy who loved muscle girls and he encouraged me to do strength-training as well. So, in addition to time on the bike and DDR(haha... so geekish), I started to lift weights. I started doing some curls with 5 pound weights and in a few short months I was able to do a few short sets of 30lb bicep curls! That was back in March, but since then I have been moving around the country a lot and haven't really had access to weights to work out with, so I've had to take a short break from bodybuilding. In the meantime, I've been doing more cardio to burn this extra fat off. I'm planning on moving to Montreal shortly (want to get another job in the video game industry) and when I get there, one of the first things I will do is join a gym! Pictures!(sorry 'bout the censoring, I'm still shy... also, I'm not particularly photogenic) June '07: http://i36.tinypic.com/152mj2v.jpg One month before my diet and workout routine! Hey I don't think I looked that bad, actually... but I wanted more. Well actually less. Less fat. October '08: http://i36.tinypic.com/2rdzuxy.jpg I was making progress at this point though you can't tell yet. I don't really know why I posted this, but I think I looked cute. I would love to wear a skimpier version of this costume when I get sexier. (http://i36.tinypic.com/izaidt.jpg)(http://i37.tinypic.com/2vcjpk8.jpg) I took these pictures today! I like them :D I dunno, maybe it's not much compared to what you guys usually see around here, but I'm still a work in progress! :-[ You can see some definition in there, but my muscles have been bigger and nicer than this! Unfortunately it's been months since I worked out regularly... moving all over the place, my life is sorta upside down. Once I get access to a gym, I really want to try this workout: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/berardi12.htm I think I can go a lot farther. In fact I KNOW I can, and I can't wait to see what this body has in store as I continue pushing it to its limits! I'm so excited when I think of all the potential this body has already shown me, and what's possible! I wonder how big my muscles can get? How strong and powerful? How fit and amazing can I be? Just thinking about it gets me so fired up! Ahehe *cough* sorry... I'm starting to ramble. ^^; Well, hope you enjoy. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I will post more pictures as my body gets better and better-looking. I'm off to work out now! :) (http://i38.tinypic.com/o6ct3k.png) Title: Re: My progress Post by: 10-4 on Jul 14, 2008, 02:19 PM Love the smilies myself. Makes the self censorship fun.
Title: Re: My progress Post by: Seldom on Jul 14, 2008, 02:49 PM Roar! You're off to a great start, and I look forward to following your progress!
Title: Re: My progress Post by: SammiChung on Jul 14, 2008, 05:05 PM Thank you very much for sharing, I hope you can show us what you're capable of, and it would be nice to know someone in the gaming industry is massive maiden of muscle, maybe you could make a game or help make a game featuring muscled women or a game that has "female muscle growth" ^_^;; something to consider no? :) good luck and we hope to see great progress from you in the near future :)
Best Regards Sammi Title: Re: My progress Post by: dcmatthews on Jul 14, 2008, 06:47 PM Good to see you're hitting the weights, and you know we here at Amaz0ns will do anything we can to support and encourage you. Go Snow!

Go Snow! Thanks! It's nice to know I have support from you guys, it's definitely encouraging. I feel I should thank you personally, though... there was a particular page in Tetsuko that really inspired me to push my muscles as far as I can instead of limiting myself out of fear of getting "too big." http://www.dcmstudiosonline.com/comics/tetsuko/issue01/01pg04.html Thank you. *hugs* Title: Re: My progress Post by: SnowLeopardTaur on Jul 15, 2008, 04:33 AM Also, expect fanart. ;D
(dang, I wish I could just edit my comments instead of posting another reply) Title: Re: My progress Post by: DevonCory on Jul 15, 2008, 06:57 AM <snip> there was a particular page in Tetsuko that really inspired me to push my muscles as far as I can instead of limiting myself out of fear of getting "too big." http://www.dcmstudiosonline.com/comics/tetsuko/issue01/01pg04.html Yah, as a 'taste of things to come' page, that was a very good one. But, back to topic, pics are good. One of the best thing to do when someone gets into training is to keep a picture log. It's easier to see one's progress that way. The early pics, especially if taken in uderwear or in the nude, are usually also a great motivator. :o Keep it up Snow! Title: Re: My progress Post by: JimmyDimples on Jul 15, 2008, 07:17 AM Always great to see someone's progress in exercise. In fact, you helped inspire me to push away from the 'puter a while and take my own physical activity more seriously. More power to ya! :)

Please ramble on! :D :D I wanted to comment that I see very good progress already between the "before" pictures and the latest you posted. You look a bit more svelte and firm as far as I can tell by just the pictures. Hope you continue and maybe inspire more women. Title: Re: My progress Post by: cpbell0033944 on Jul 19, 2008, 11:01 AM Great progress so far, Snow! 8) I fully support your reasons for the smiley, but I get the feeling that you're very attractive and the letch in me would love to see one uncensored pic, but, as I say, I fully understand why you want to maintain privacy. Tetsuko (and the scene with the idiot boyfriend) are definitely good for inspiration, and there's no reason why you shouldn't go far. See the example of Stacey Widger who I encouraged to post here a while back for real-life inspiration.
Just promise me one thing, won't you? Don't touch 'roids. Please. :-* Title: Re: My progress Post by: SnowLeopardTaur on Jul 19, 2008, 11:44 AM Just promise me one thing, won't you? Don't touch 'roids. Please. :-* Neeeeeeeeever. I'd never use steroids, never ever ever. First off... it's cheating! How could I be proud of my body if I knew that I had taken shortcuts to get bigger? If I'm doing this for me, what's the point of cheating? Secondly, I've seen the effects it has on women, robbing them of their femininity.... It's scary how manly some of these women end up. Even if I sometimes get mistaken for a little kid on the phone, I'd rather that than be mistaken for a man every time. :'( Title: Re: My progress Post by: cpbell0033944 on Jul 19, 2008, 11:51 AM Neeeeeeeeever. I knew you wouldn't take them...I just wanted to say it for peace of mind. ;) Title: Re: My progress Post by: trilliwig on Jul 19, 2008, 03:14 PM Quote from: SnowLeopardTaur I think I can go a lot farther. Title: Re: My progress Post by: lionforce on Jul 01, 2009, 07:35 PM keep it up, the hardest part is consistency ;)
Title: Re: My progress Post by: roadrunner on Jul 01, 2009, 10:43 PM Awesome! Looks like you're making great progress, SnowLeopard.
I've started back at the gym myself (after more years off than I want to admit to), and I love seeing inspirational pictures like this. I too dream about getting big muscles - shedding some (OK, a lot) of the other contributor to hugeness (i.e., fat). I mean, realistically, I don't think my body needs to prepare for a famine. :) And who says women shouldn't have muscle? Nobody on this board, that's for sure! :D Anyway, I look forward to hearing more about your progress! Keep up the good work. Title: Re: My progress Post by: itamar on Jul 02, 2009, 04:17 AM i just want to add,ass a fellow wanna-lose-weighter that you should do a diet, look at it as eating right, eating clean, eating good ! its been proven that when people are having a diet they are feeling punished for not eating the things they always crave !
your progress is great, and i wish you the best for keeping it up ! Title: Re: My progress Post by: AlexG on Jul 02, 2009, 04:24 AM Just an observation, but did anyone notice that the last post by SnowLeopardTaur was from July of 2008?
I might add, if you check her profile page, she registered in July and hasn't logged in since September. Title: Re: My progress Post by: The_Collector_2 on Jul 02, 2009, 01:13 PM She's been inactive at DA too, must be real life.
Title: Re: My progress Post by: DevonCory on Jul 15, 2009, 07:15 AM I haven't talked to her in a couple of months. I know that there was a lot going on in her personal life and that she was taking some bold steps career wise, so her absence may have something to do with that. I still see her online on MSN once in a while, but since I'm crazy busy myself, I usually don't have time to chat anyway. If I can though, I'll let her know that she's being missed. ;)
Title: Re: My progress Post by: Ad_Meyer on Jul 31, 2009, 08:20 PM Just to add to itamar's comment about the importance of diet.
After I was diagnosed Type 2 diabetic last November, I was put on strict remedial diet of 1840kCal balanced diet (Carbs, Proteins, Vegetables, etc.) per day, in addition to some medication. Only excersize I consciously took was to make sure I walked an average of 10,000 steps per day. Here is my "before" and "after" numbers Before (October 2008) 82.4kg (= 181.5 lbs.) After (April 2009) 68.6 kg (= 151 lbs.) My blood sugar level also normalized in June, so I dropped my medication, resulting in a rebound to 70.0kg (= 154lbs.), but my doctor warned me that this would happen, so I should aim to stabilize here until the end of this year to avoid rebounds, and monitor my blood sugar levels regularly. FYI, my height is 183.5cm (6' 1/4" for those imperialists among you), ant shed 11cm (a tad over 4 inches) off my waistline in the meantime (from 92cm to 81cm). I hope this example helps. Title: Re: My progress Post by: Holiday on Oct 16, 2009, 06:50 AM I hope you're all in good health. I've been putting more consistent effort to work out at the gym lately. Oddly enough, after changing my diet and switching exercise methods, I feel pretty good today.
I haven't really changed physically, but I can't shake this urge to smile after finishing my exercise today. My system must finally be improving.
