Title: Warrior-Woman Post by: ze fly on Jul 27, 2008, 06:28 PM Considering my poll's results, here is for you gents & dames. :D
I couldn't get my hands on my old Tom Strong's issue featuring Ingrid Weiss rendered by Art Adams, :'( so that will be only Warrior-Woman in this topic... Sorry. :-\ (http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/8821/theinvadersno17coverks0.th.jpg) (http://img169.imageshack.us/my.php?image=theinvadersno17coverks0.jpg) (http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/4240/theinvadersno17page17ep2.th.jpg) (http://img144.imageshack.us/my.php?image=theinvadersno17page17ep2.jpg) (http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/6629/theinvadersno17page27vt9.th.jpg) (http://img144.imageshack.us/my.php?image=theinvadersno17page27vt9.jpg) (http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/9543/theinvadersno17page30zq7.th.jpg) (http://img178.imageshack.us/my.php?image=theinvadersno17page30zq7.jpg) (http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/5194/theinvadersno17page31kc2.th.jpg) (http://img352.imageshack.us/my.php?image=theinvadersno17page31kc2.jpg) Source: Marvel Comics Invaders vol.1 No.17, June 1977 Story by Roy Thomas, art by Frank Robbins. I really like the second art style in 2001. Very gritty and dark. Also she has some nice muscles in it :D Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: Glammazon on Jul 29, 2008, 12:46 AM What worries me more than Warrior Woman's Nazi leanings is the fact that she is always portrayed in such a negative manner. I hope that someday some writer can not only shed some light on her past, but also depict her as a human being and not a cardboard character and even have her reform.
Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: BlackKusanagi on Jul 29, 2008, 12:57 AM May not like what she fights for...but shes cute. Ill give her that much. And the 01 art is the best. :P
Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: Delmo on Jul 29, 2008, 09:56 PM Alan Kupperberg didn't do Warrior Woman justice. Ignacio Calero, while drawing her ripped, made her ugly, and C.P.Smith's version is tame. I'm glad Allen Jacobsen resurrected her after John Byrne killed her and Master Man off in his Namor series, though I'm surprised DC didn't make a stink about that eagle on her chest.
Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: Glammazon on Aug 09, 2008, 12:39 AM There are two women in the third frame of the fourth scanned page. Was this an error or was it deliberate?

Which page are you referring to? Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: Glammazon on Aug 11, 2008, 05:59 PM The fourth scanned page from the CAPTAIN AMERICA annual, of course.
Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: fasola on Aug 11, 2008, 08:32 PM The fourth scanned page from the CAPTAIN AMERICA annual, of course. Mistake, I would think. Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: Delmo on Jun 03, 2009, 11:28 PM I love it when the "Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 30 days. Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic." message comes up. I'd rather dredge up a old thread than start a new one on a previously covered topic.
Warrior Woman makes an appearance in Avengers/Invaders #11, both inside and on the cover. Alex Ross depicted her thinner than I expected he would. Steve Sadowski didn't make her muscular inside but she's not thin, either. Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: Ashlee on Jun 05, 2009, 11:07 AM It would be Fun to see Warrior Woman Fight Thundra
I got a great title!{Whips&Chains} Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: nic2800 on Jun 05, 2009, 02:23 PM It would be Fun to see Warrior Woman Fight Thundra I got a great title!{Whips&Chains} Thundra would crush Warrior Woman I think. WW was more in the class of Capt. America in Muscle. Thundra however could put the ever lovin' blue eyed Thing down for the count. Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: Delmo on Jun 05, 2009, 08:08 PM Warrior Woman is much stronger than Captain America, though not as strong as Namor. Master Man & Warrior Woman combined are stonger than Namor.

Thanks for the tip, Delmo ! ;) I had seen the cover's previews featuring her, but didn't know if she was in... Warrior Woman is much stronger than Captain America, though not as strong as Namor. Master Man & Warrior Woman combined are stonger than Namor. I concur (see the pannels above), and in the Namor's serie, she stood against Namorita, who isn't a pushover... But Thundra would still crush her... ;D Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: nic2800 on Jun 07, 2009, 11:39 AM Warrior Woman is much stronger than Captain America, though not as strong as Namor. Master Man & Warrior Woman combined are stonger than Namor. http://www.marvel.com/universe/Warrior_Woman (http://www.marvel.com/universe/Warrior_Woman) Warrior womans abilities level. http://www.marvel.com/universe/Captain_America_%28Steve_Rogers%29 (http://www.marvel.com/universe/Captain_America_%28Steve_Rogers%29) Capt. America. Warrior woman doesn't have Capt's noble nature. He holds back when fighting even an evil woman. He's still the Knight in armor type guy. I have found that Thundra is at the 60 ton level in strength. Capt and Warrior woman are both way below that. Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: Don Jack on Jun 08, 2009, 02:11 PM What worries me more than Warrior Woman's Nazi leanings is the fact that she is always portrayed in such a negative manner. I hope that someday some writer can not only shed some light on her past, but also depict her as a human being and not a cardboard character and even have her reform. She's a Nazi though. I mean you'll never have The Red Skull reform for example/ And why should she reform? she's a good villain. Title: Re: Warrior-Woman Post by: ze fly on Jun 28, 2009, 09:24 PM A little pic to remind you of her strength. ;) But this dates from 1981, and the power levels changed since that time (I'm thinking especially about She-Hulk)
