Big Entertainment and Techno Comics were two companies launched during the comics explosion. There were so many new companies and so many speculators betting on comics but the market itself was still small and collapsed when it was realized that multiple covers on a comic printing in huge numbers would not result in jumps in prices so the speculators bailed leaving a lot of stores dealing with cases of stock. They brought in a lot of name creators but that alone could not support the interest in the comics.
