Had my bagged copy awaiting me piled with the rest of my other comic requests  Cool

First thing I was struck by was again how Marvel seems to be using real world individuals as models (facial-wise – i.e. Jennifer Connelly or in the case of one issue, the face and uber-buffed-up body of Collette Nelson) for the current crop of She-Hulk covers art.  Looks like Greg Horn is used Jennifer Love Hewitt as inspiration for this presentation – wondered if anyone else might have noticed this about the portrayal.

Personally, I'm not all that much impressed (thus far) with the suggestions that I've seen for a live action movie format, either the muscle gals (i.e. FBBrs / Fitness) have the buffed size, but not the height much less the acting qualities to present a plausible characterization.  Conversly, the actresses of actual acting talent that have been proposed simply, IMHO, lack the plausiblity of an awesome femuscular presence to pull it off.   Cool

The only one that could have been of a happy median for playing a She-Hulk movie, but I serious doubt she could do it today since she has long sheded her femuscular physique, would have been Cory Everson.  Facial beauty, marketable buffness to the average non-muscle interested male and/or female viewer, and had a degree of acting talent that could have carried the part.  Only thing lacking would be the height-factor, but it would be far easer to "fake" that part then going with a full blown CGI as they failed miseribly with in the Hulk movie.

If I had to make a choice, I'd prefer to go with high quality animation format if its going to involve the She-Hulk, or even Wonder Woman for that matter.

The returns are in with complete EH contest coverage of the event - available at all finer Multiverse newsstands, bookstores and retail outlets.

She-Hulk Super Heavy-weight and overall in the Marvel Division - no surprise there as the odds-on favorate.  However, Thundra easily took the uber-tall class, inching out Jen in the eyes of the Judges.

Thickly packed with interviews, information and photo coverage - only $7.95 (it’s a quarterly publication) per issue - UN Tax NOT Included!

And for those interested in the diminutive end of the interest, the Mini-Amazon Expo 2005 was run co-jointly with the show.

Also only $7.95 (it’s a quarterly publication) per issue - UN Tax NOT Included!

I'm goin' to pick it up tomorrow.

So far, I've only missed a single issue - number one!

Anyone willing to help a fellow FMG fan out, and mail me a copy?  Cheesy Pleeze?

Two suggestions, one - you might want to pick up the trade-paperback / graphic novel of the first six (or is seven?) of the She-Hulk series, if its not available at your local comic store, they probably could order it for you.  Second - try www.ebay.com - search for "She-Hulk", "comics", I think if you're patient an Issue #01 auction or direct By It Now sale will turn up, seems like about every other couple of weeks I see it listed, either single or bound up with a set of comics.

Yes, it seems they had an episode long story line "The Ties That Bind" with the exceptionally tall and immensely powerful non-Terran Super Amazon - Big Barda.

And by no surprise, (is it ever when it comes to the babes-licious?) the all-but-drooling Flash was the only JLU'r to break ranks to help her and Mr. Miracle out.

One of the more memorable lines was -

Flash: Not that I mind the exercise, but couldn't your boob tube put us closer? Big Barda: That's 'boom tube'!

No doubt, a double-double-entendre here . . . being at near-eye level to her cleavage can do that to a fella.

Don't know when it will re-air, seems that Cartoon Network has cut its scheduling down to one showing per week.

[quote="Hunter S CreekMany sincere thanks to AlexG for his time and talent in previewing, critiquing, and providing many great suggestions![/quote]

As I said before, such unbashed adoration will get you anywhere.  Wink

Truth is folks, I, as the Lord of the High Castle, couldn't refuse so humble a private entreaty as made by Sir Hunter, a fellow Knight of the Pen.   Cool

You're most welcome and it was a pleasure to assist you.

Very creative and different - a job well done!   Cool

I also saw that picture of her over on AMG-Lite, the pose reminded me of the ones WPW have of Shannon Hartnett.
