1649  Notices and Site-related Discussion / Alerts: TV and Events / Re: GTS scenes in Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans on: Sep 26, 2005, 02:52 PM
Unfortunately (and please someone correct me if I'm wrong) but CN has gone back to its (inconceivable) one-shot one-view of JLU in its weekly line-up.   If you miss it, you're out of luck.

I think you're right in the case of JLU.  Though it seems she'll be getting quite a bit of airtime based on the clips the run during the ending credits.  You'd do well to record all future episodes.

Giganta and Elastigirl are prominently featured in episodes of JLU and TT this past weekend.  Make sure you catch re-runs on Cartoon Network.

Is there an ISBN number on the book?  If not, it's probably a Doujin, or fan-made publication.  I searched a bit for "ロマン レーネ" which is the kana that's used at the top of the book, but didn't turn up anything.  I've never seen anything like this at any convention.  Do you remember which dealer was carrying it?

Oops, I had a misspelling.  Found it.  It's a PC simulation game. Here's a link to a place in Japan that sells it:

To make it up to ya guys i also found this artbook that caught my eye cause of the cover during this eyars I-Con at StonyBrook University
Its called Le Romaine de la Reine a Gertruds

Dont really nkow what sorta game it is, doesnt seem like hentai, as theres no naughty bits or tentacles in teh artbook.  THough u seem to run into female denizens of the island bathing alot :-D

Also all the females seem to have proffesions including: homeless
But one of them is an amazoness  8-)

Anwyas heres everthing i could dig up in teh artbook including a bio, anyone care to translate?

Any net sleuths wanna go at to see if they can find this series? MOre pics or the game it self would be nice.

What's with the gold trim on Supergirl's cape?  Isn't that Mary Marvel's cape?
1654  General Topics / Fandom & Nerd Stuff / Cerise (Marvel's Excalibur) on: Aug 15, 2005, 11:38 AM
Alan Davis had this character appear in his run of Excalibur, and she was always drawn pretty buff by him.  I can't find many pics on the web, but here's one example:

Despite the fact of growing larger and taller, including super strength and enhanced invulnerability, Polaris didn’t gain near as much femuscle as one naturally might expect* - of course this was the era of soda-straw arms, even for the She-Hulk or Thundra.  Something similar also happened to Madelyne Pryor in the mini-two parter X-Men / Alpha Flight - some of the rare panels with her Asgardian-Titanessized form were quite impressive, especially in comparsion to Cyclops or Professor X.

*Ironically, the artists doing the cover work would draw her with a slightly more impressive build – a cut of figure that never matched the inside pages.

Now that’s a change of pace, instead of her clothing bursting at the seams, they stretch to the point of splitting open – no doubt to distinguish her from the She-Hulk.

Sources: The Uncanny X-Men Vol 1 Issues #250 & #253

There were several issues pencilled by Marc Silvestri where she was really depicted as a big girl.  I'll see if I can dig them up and scan a few samples.

BTW: There's a slight FMG scene much later in the series, but we'll get to Miss Doublefinger another time.

(Heh..and this is me wishing we could have a Shulkie pic of her dressed up like Miss Monday)

Miss Doublefinger is definitely more feminine looking in the manga.  Can't wait to see the episode of her.
