Muscle Milk

My step-brother is a big guy, so I asked him for tips. Among other things, he suggested a protein supplement called "Muscle Milk." Since it worked for him AND lined up with some of the advice some of you gave me in another thread, I decided to try it out as well as tell the rest of you about it.
Mentioned on the other thread was Casein protein, as well as taking baby food to help muscles. The protein found in this is "Micellar Alpha and Beta Caseins and Caseinates, Whey Concentrates right in Alpha-Lactalbumin, Whey Isolates, Whey Peptides, Purified Bovine Colostrum Extract rich in Secretory IgA and IGF-1, Lactoferrin."
The baby food part comes from this claim right above the ingredients: "EVOPRO(tm) Our custom protein, peptide and amino acid matrix designed to closely reflect the nitrogen components and ratios found in human mother's milk." And also "MUSCLE MILK is the first product patterned after Nature's ultimate anabolic food-human mother's milk."
It also says that it helps support your body's natural production of creatine. One thing I liked is that it's low in cholesterol (1% DV), and relatively low in sodium (8% DV).
Also, on another, different thread, someone mentioned how a replenishing drink was better than Gatorade because, among other things, the sweetener used was a simpler one which was easier broken down and used by the body: fructose (if I'm incorrectly remembering this, lemme know). Well, that's the sweetner here.
32g of protein per serving also is pretty awesome, and the taste is outstanding. I bought Mocha Joe flavor, and it seriously tastes like a nice, cold mocha.
Just thought I'd share.

No, not fructose, Glucose is the most basic sugar used by the body, fructose and sucrose(normal sugar) are a combination of two or more variations of glucose, and the body has to spend a little energy in order to break the bond holding the two glucose molecules together. A glucose only sweetener is slightly more efficient than any other.
Hmmm, Muscle Milk, there a growth story in there somewhere...?

Actually, I think such a story series has already been done. I forget the name, but it was about this girl-turned-amazon who passed on her muscularity to others through a golden, magical, breast-milk-like substance.
Though I must say, this does sound like something that could go back to the "Other Growth" section's "Muscular and Pregnant" thread...!

Actually that was a saga called "The Librarian", by the masters from The Power Company.
And the was another one called just "The Milk", where some radioactive milk, or something like that, turned women into uberbuffed GTS, and so on. I'll Look fot it at Dtv.

Strawberry: You are better off merely drinking real milk because of the protein and other building materials within.
The natural, organic kind not the processed type that fill the supermarkets. It may cost a little more but the expense is worth it (and you pay a lot more for the so-called 'muscle milk' anyway).
Goats' milk is better than cows' but a little harder to get. Also, buy the organic brands rather than the generic and modified versions.
Peace

I mix the protein in real milk...does that count?
Best of both worlds, right?

I think Muscle Milk is a big rip-off personally. It's expensive and you don't get much in the container. 30 servings, I believe? Not sure, so I apologize if I'm wrong, but I didn't see a very big container of the stuff for the price.
You need more protein, better off getting a 5 pound jug of it. LabradaV60, Optimum Nutrition...all have this for under 30.00 via saveonsupplements. There is a new brand I want to try and I forget what it is at the moment (sorry, kids at home make my brain shut down). But, it is fruit flavored and mixes with water. Synex? I can't remember. The taste and texture of milky crap is getting to me. I would rather chug down sometime closer to juice. My dream would be bottled water with protein in it with no flavor whatsoever that still has the texture of water. What a dream.....oh well.

I'll definitely check it out. What kind of protein is in it?
If you make that protein water, I will buy it.
