No, not fructose,  Glucose is the most basic sugar used by the body, fructose and sucrose(normal sugar) are a combination of two or more variations of glucose, and the body has to spend a little energy in order to break the bond holding the two glucose molecules together.  A glucose only sweetener is slightly more efficient than any other.

Hmmm, Muscle Milk, there a growth story in there somewhere...?
About fructose:

Fructose is a hexose monosaccharide, meaning that it has only one carbon ring containing six carbon atoms.  Monosaccharides include the simplest naturally-produced sugars, and includes glucose (hexose) and galactose.  To say that fructose is more complex than glucose is misleading; they have the same chemical formula (C6H12O6), just different molecular structures.  Now, fructose requires a glucose rider to be effectively absorbed, which would make it an ideal low-sugar sweetener as long as it isn't paired with glucose, but other than that, a good idea would just be to eat 3 servings of fruit for something sweet.  As always, everything in moderation.

I was taking the BSN Protein for most of 2006, this protein does taste good but I believe it has too many "fillers" in it. I  have since switched to Beverly International and I must say that I am impressed. This company has been around since the 1960s and I believe there is a reason for that. Their blend is great IMO, they cost a little more but I think its worth it Smiley

I drink Muscle Milk and I like it.  It is tasty and has a little more protein than most of the competing powders (32g per serving (2, 75g scoops).  I have tried alot of the flavors and recommend Chocolate mint chip and cookies'n creme.  [i dont care for the mocha flavor much]

However it seems to be a little more fattening than the other brands.

Calories                   350
Total fat                  18g
 Calories from fat    8g
Saturated fat           8g

{Its like eating a cheesebuger}

I really care about the price, amount of protien and the taste.  Muscle Milk does the trick

If i were to switch off becuase I want to tone up (summer), I take Xrated.

Xrated has 18 per scoop which is more than muscle milk (16g per scoop).

Calories                   92
Total fat                  1g
Calories from fat     <10g
Saturated fat           <1g

These portions are for one scoop so they need to be doubled if you are to compare them to Muscle Milk.
WARNING: Xrated isn't very tasty
