Hey FMG dudes and dudettes....M.K. here to put some ideas out there so please hear me out.  First off, thanks to Lingster and Smitty for continuing to keep the Femgrowth faith as strong as ever.

Second, here's a couple of ideas to move the process along, although it's already happening.  One, every so often, a concerted effort should be made to commission an artist to do an already written FMG short story, depending on length.  As I've mentioned before, this is already being done, and great sequences have indeed been drawn already.  I believe Terry probably has had the most commissioned stories done for him or by someone else in love with his awesome work.   I suggest this because this is a prime oppurtunity for EVERYONE to be involved.  And all it takes is a little cheddar.  It doesn't even matter whether you can draw or not.  There are lots of folks who do it, but it's not done often enough.  There are lots of folks out there who will do commission work for a price and they usually have some guidelines.  However, I think its feasible and would certainly be a nice monthly or once in a while feature as long as the same people aren't doing it and getting burn't  out.  Another obvious condition to doing this is getting the story writer's permission before going forward and giving him/her the proper credit.  This could be a special monthly feature of some sort when completed.  It's a small thing, but that's how you start.. and then you expand.

Next is a team colaborative contest.  Every other month (for time purposes), I think a TEAM FMG art contest should be considered.

Why?

Simple.

It's a unique challenge that makes folks put their heads together, get over themselves and come together on a story or sequence of some sort.  As with a regular contest, a certain theme would be considered by the moderators, and, people would team up for an entry.  Basically speaking, at least TWO people would have to be involved in order to submit an entry and to insure fairness.  Anyone volunteering would have to do so as a group and have some sort of role.  I know there are a lot of kinks in this particular idea, but, we all hate the way Tinsletown is doing their stories, here's a chance to come up with some of our own and have fun with it.  Plus networking and communication becomes a central ingredient.  Like Hollywood, bad writing and great art = a bad product..period.

State what you think of these ideas, they're shots in the dark.

"POP-POP-POP-      "ARRRGH!!!"

OOPS....my bad...

Once I've got the upload facility in place we can start the contests.  Alternatively, people can embed images hosted elsewhere using the "IMG" button above (which I would prefer).
