tonight at 10 PM and a few other times as well this month.

Supersize She takes us on an eye-popping ride through the pumped-up world of female body-building. Joanna Thomas, or Buff Barbie, was the youngest ever woman to turn pro, in a sport in which over 10,000 women compete at amateur level worldwide.
Competition is intense and the film follows the dangerous level to which Joanna will push herself to achieve her childhood dream of being crowned Miss Olympia, body-building’s most glittering prize. The film also follows her through the pain and rigours of training, dehydration and starvation to get into competition shape, and goes backstage to take a unique glimpse into the tension and fragile confidence of these women.
Supersize She shocks the senses with images of female muscle that most people will never have seen before and reveals the difference between the healthy image and seedy reality of women’s body-building. Don't forget to set those timers!
