Yeah, FurAffinity. It's actually pretty good cause you can post whatever you like there, pretty much. Everyone is extremely open-minded and I've never been flamed once.
And I know it might seem supprising im there xD since I'm not a fan of furries.. but most of them are really nice people.

Do any of you know copyright law? This is basically saying 'Hey you're putting your shit on the Internet. People can copy it if they want to".

That doesn't mean you forfeit your copyright or trademark. Just that they can parody it, put it on asite and say "This artist sucks", etc.


David. Please. For the love of God, you've got your own characters. Go learn the Fair Use Laws before someone decides to copyright and trademark your characters out from under your nose or something

They can do this with it as you are hosting it on their site. They CANNOT say they created it. THAT is a violation of fair use. If there is no disclaimer that says 'Please don't hotlink'(even if you hotlink a picture) then it is assumed to be OK.

For example, Penny Arcade doesn't ask people not to hotlink. I can copy/paste comic urls till the cows come home. But few of you would believe I'm Jerry Holkins or Mike Krahulik*owners/creators of the comic, the writer and artist respectively.* And you know what? Until I claim that I am or claim anything in the PA comic is mine or trademark it, I'm within my rights to do so.

Same reason why CTRL+ALT+DEL can't be sued. Penny Arcade didn't copyright their jokes, so anyone can use them. It'll just make you the relative bane of the Internet.
