Though it could be being in Louisiana too. You find a lot more friendly people in general here than you normally do in other places.
Ah, Louisiana is a most wonderful place.
The most favoured of places within the so-called United States.
Maybe it is favoured because when an exceedingly tall gentleman wearing a thick coat, large brimmed hat and leaning on a cane walks down the daylight streets, he seldom gets a second glance.
Unlike most other places in the World.
Oh, well.
Human Nature cannot be helped I's suppose.
Peace

Curiosity isn't such a bad thing all the time. After all, it is how we learn. If I were to see such on the street, likely I would do a double take and wonder, curious about such an unusual person, what they're like, where they're from, etc. I do have a couple of friends here that are really tall, one of them is your average video gamer and anime fan. The other, has led such a rich life and is very knowledgeable, one of the more interesting people I know, though elusive, he often goes into a hermetic lifestyle where for long periods of time no one knows where he is, though some may spot him at a place of work. Anyways, I ramble on and this isn't my thread
Sorry.

I just came back from the gym myself.
I did some cardio, chest and triceps. Really damn hard... man, ugh!!
I am getting older, my mid 30's, but I have to admit, these 3 years
have made it sure that I look better than anytime in my life.
Unfortunately, these three years makes it very difficult to make up for
almost 30 years of almost no exercise and physical activity. So it is very difficult.
Makes you really admire all the folks out there that train so hard and sacrifice
to make themselves as muscular as they are. I especially admire all those
muscular women out there, because they have to contend with all the stigma
and criticism of close-minded people.
Good luck on your training, this board is filled with not only admirers of female muscle, but people that work out as well. So these kind folks can help to ispire, or give good hints.

Just an update....I felt kind of weak today, I did the workout anyway, but couldn't finish a couple of my sets, muscle failure before the end.... And I was thinking how shaky my legs were while on the last set of squats and next thing I knew I was out of form and over balanced and about to fall.....Just caught it in time, lucky
Also, there was a bunch of guys at the gym tonight, young, looked like they might be getting ready for something involving some sport at one of the schools...They weren't terribly friendly. I tried to be bright and cheery if one of them was looking at me, but mostly I just caught them giving me dirty looks. Especially these two bigger guys when they saw me go towards the dumbells, talking to each other while looking at me and shaking their heads....Not the usual vibe I get from the place...Kind of unwelcoming. They had their own cheerleader, too....This little petite girl with big boobs and a pixie body and glam makeup....She had on a cute little workout suit, but never actually touched any kind of machine or weight, she just encouraged the boys....I think I was expected to be more like her and not be trying to lift heavy things....That's what it felt like
I am trying to ignore people like that, but the place was filled with them tonight, so it got me a little unmotivated and down. But I'll still go, and keep trying
Never worry about what anyone around you is doing, just focus on that intensity and the gains will come, put some earphones on with your ipod and hit it hard. I never really talk to anyone except for a few people at my gym but thats because I am trying to get my intensity level up and focus, its not because I'm being mean, I will never turn down a call for help or advise and I expect the same in return
stay the course and you will see results
