Hi everybody. Call me Holiday. I'm glad I finally found a site like this. Here are some ideas I'd like to throw around. I'm mostly into sci-fi and superheroes so that's the direction I'm heading here.

Pride and Courage
I thought of this idea that's like the "Flashdance" movie. A woman wants to enter the amateur competitions - figure or bodybuilding, either is fine. However, she's worried that her early years doing internet porn could come back to haunt her. She's not the same as the thin girl who put herself out there to pay for college. And yet, it's filled her with doubts. How will she break down that wall?

Many sizes
In the distant future the human race is now living in space. The colonies are so far spread no one can keep track of all of them. A successful filmmaker and photographer stumbles upon a young woman with a strong physique. (She looks like a fit Jessica Alba.) He wants to photograph her for a muscle magazine that he co-owns. However, he learns that she is a clone. On his planet, clones don't have equal rights and suffer discrimination. The man still wants to help her but things get more complicated.

This girl is just one of many clones with similar looks. (Now think of different Jessica Albas.) Some of them were made engineered for secret military use. Some for sex slaves. And they're spread all over the inhabited worlds. This guy couldn't have anymore trouble if somebody wasn't trying to shut him up and kill the girl he met. Soon he follows her, and helps her find the other clones. It's the same face in different variations.

I was partly inspired from watching that god-awful "Dark Angel" series. I found the other girls more likeable than Max. Even the married duplicate was nicer but she wasn't the main character.

Superheroine ideas

A convicted woman has finally left prison. She was harshly convicted as a teen flunky of a notorious supervillainess. Now she wants revenge for the many years she spent inside. She's pumped, she's mad, and she doesn't have a clue. The main superheroine who put her away retired years ago. She hasn't been seen nor heard from since. With her determination and bitterness the ex-con tracks her down. But what will she find? Does she have what it takes to carry out her revenge?

I was surprised to read a similar idea to this one. But I was thinking of world of superheroines, and they outnumber the male superheroes.

Since the 60's there has been an explosion of superheroines. Today they range from the late teens to above. Many of them are super strong, some transform into these amazing amazons. Even the non-powered ones can kick your ass. Their numbers surpass the male superheroes. Is this some feminist conspiracy? Hell no, but try convincing them that! This super 'sorority' is better organized and have won the hearts of many. On a lesser note some wannabe heroes end up becoming villains.

It's a wacky world. One of its greatest superheroines must ascend to the stars. She leaves behind a gift that will grant her old powers to a new heroine. To earn it she must compete with other candidates in a private women's only tournament. Everybody wants their hands on it, even men.

I'd like to imagine real athletes in this saga, like how those guys at the Roman Gladiator website write about existing competitors.

These are some cool ideas! I'd love to see some of them developed into full stories.

Sounds like the real-life story of Melissa Dettwiller, who did porn as "Trish Wells" before she took up bodybuilding.

I wanted to create a setting that would allow many stories to be told. I think everybody has a story they can tell, wether it is short or long.

Really? Cool. So the story can be plausible :-) I didn't know that about Melissa but I'm glad women like her bravely take control of their lives.

Yes, I remember when some of her "outtakes" began appearing on the now defunct Sardas (sp?) FBBing forums - from a place called the F***Machine site, if I'm not mistaken.

Doesn't matter to me. Her bikini pictures knock me out. I wonder if she'll ever compete this year.

Correction: I lied. I just checked out that site. Melissa looks MUCH better as a bodybuilder. That porn site isn't getting my money.

Any story that involves a world full of female superheroines - some of whom transform - is to be whole-heartedly encouraged.

Thinking about it now, it might be interesting to examine the social implications of that.

Are there are a lot of girls trying to become superheroines, that kind of thing. Maybe follow some heroine obsessed girl trying to find powers and turning to the dark side or something.

Just suggestions.

My superheroine idea is just to create a setting for everybody to contribute their own story.

My tournament idea sprung mostly from that Gladiatrix website. I thought it would be cool to imagine actual competitors as superheroines. But Alan Moore's "Top Ten" was another inspiration of how hundreds can become costumed fighters. Yeah, I think there are many social implications for it, but I wanted to point out they didn't all pop up out for feminist goals. There are different reasons, from different sides of the tracks. However the general population just assumes they're a feminist movement which incurs lots of misunderstandings, even from male superheroes. That's why I also wrote that some superheroes became villains, because the women became better organized and better loved.

So this tournament, it happens in the present. Women compete for the power of Earth's greatest superheroine. I haven't worked out how they're chosen to qualify, only that they musn't have any super powers of their own. They all must fight it hand to hand. Each competitor has her own story and not all of them have noble intentions. If the wrong woman wins the tournament then the world is in big trouble.
