Both of you are wrong.

Her boyfriend, fiancee now husband has been supporting her for several years now.  Constantly encouraging her and is a bodybuilder himself.  There was never an inkling of him saying that she shouldn't have muscles anymore.

I've been following Cindy for the longest time and it was when she turned pro that she had lost -all- passion for bodybuilding and was just in denial.

She had moved, gotten a new job, was training to do all this stuff, was trying to fit workouts in with her schedule.  It just wasn't working at all, she wouldn't be able to stick to a diet, and constantly missed shows.  She would try to -force- herself to get motivated but it wasn't working.

None of this had anything to do with her boyfriend, it was all about her lost passion that she never got back.  Read up on the posts she made when she got the pro card and you will see a drastic difference in attitude.  Her boyfriend was around before she went pro so he was definitely not the reason why she decided to lose her mighty physique.

I have to agree.

The tone of her blog-post reminds me of when Denise Hoshor dropped out.  She did it for the fun and the challenge that competitive BBing offered, and when it was no longer any fun or a challenge to her, she went on to other things.  Didn't mean she stopped BBing for personal reasons, (as might be the case with Cindy - she might go in the direction of personal training or managing a gym, which was what Anja Langer did), but her interest in competitive BBing was no longer something she wished to pursue at the expense of sacrificing her social life.

Right because "my boyfriend doesn't like me being bigger than him" sure goes over well with fans, so clearly these are all the reasons.

Man Collector, I'm so glad we have a telepath to tell us what she's really thinking.

It's sad to learn that she's stopped competing. But we should respect her choices and wish her the best of luck.

Sorry, TMM, you're not getting it.  If her now husband is a BBer himself, he must have expected her to get bigger, especially as she was going for a Pro card.  So why wait until she has it to decide that he doesn't want her to compete any more?  It doesn't make sense.  As Alex said, her blog posts made it clear that she fell out of love with the palaver and demands of being a Pro BBer - it is an intense and disruptive lifestyle.  Good luck to her and her husband; and, as Alex G says, she will probably stay buff as part of her lifestyle but will no longer train for contests.  She's a sad loss to the stage, but I think she will live to be glad of her decision.

I think her husband had something to do about it only in that Cindy realized how hard it would be to compete and enjoy her marriage.

Just becuse she will not be competing any more.  Does NOT mean she will not coutine to workout and get bigger and stronger.  I think she look great off season.  I doubt she going to become some fat out of shape housewife.  I think she should work on making her new husband be a a bit bigger bodybuilder.  He kidn on the small size for that type of work.  Or maybe he just looks small standing next to his super size FBB wife.

Plus she only 26 she could take 10 years off and start up again with no problems
