Given that particular problem was precipitated by a rather specific set of circumstances... what's his name doing something with radiation... I think that's a debatable now that she's recovered from that.

I don't know if I'd be keen on it being like the 50ft woman - assuming we're talking the trashy 90s remake. It was too... sudden. For her to be more Savage era... I'm not sure, I think that the current incarnation - fun loving and empowered and such.

I'd agree with Ritz too - it's presumably a matter of apathy.

I never considered apathy before...that's sad...but I guess it's all a matter of taste.

Unfortunately, modern Western society tends to be very apathetic. Angry

Eh, if you were a fan of swallowing poo logs or a fan of watching chinese people singing country and western, you'd probably feel the same.

It's all POV really.

Hi! yeah i'm not dead. My opinion on the matter is this. In our little community we concern ourselves with fmg muscular women ect primarily in what we produce. I've noticed most of us, us meaning me too, use the whole fbb/fmg/gts thing as a jumping point. This causes other story elements to fade somewhat into the background. For it to be accepted by the mainstream it can't be so much of a "thing" imo.

It was always my opinion that we wanted to get to a point where the audiance isn't like wow holy crap! But they can appreciate a jade amazon in torn clothes the same as a guy flying around in red and blue pajamas with an S curl. Does anyone say "Holy crap! That guys wearing underwear over his spandex."

On a sidenote TCness I can't imagine supersize she did a lot for the acceptance of our kind. It kinda put me off of training for competition.

Rant over i can never keep a train of thought going cuz i cant keep it or my mind on track.

Hi, Tara, good to hear from you!  I agree that Supersize She didn't seem to make to much impact for you (Tara) and other female bodybuilders.  But, I also have to agree with TC.  It seems the purpose of the documentary, was in fact, to show a personal perspective of what female bodybuilding is like (in competition).  I feel (IMO) that it's nothing to be ashamed of.  After watching it, I realized that female bodybuilders go through a lot of training much preparation in order to make it to the finals.  I feel that people (hopefully a large audience) will be somewhat enlightened...so they won't react with such narrow-mindedness.

BTW- Please, please, Tara...don't put off you're training.  It's an awesome thing to have that much discipline! Grin

Tara, I know I've never written anything aimed specifically at you, but I will do now.  Don't let Supersize She put you off.  It portrays the extreme, rareified end of the muscle game.  I recently saw it serialised on YouTube, and was shocked and yet fascinated, but I soon realised that it almost certainly isn't representative of the genre.  If you want to become Ms Olympia, then it obviously will be more accurate, but, at an amateur level, you don't have to be drugged-up to the eyeballs to do well.  Just read this:http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do?article=07-FIG015-feature

Well, when talking about FBBs, it's kind of like talking about strippers... you've just got different leagues and at some point, various people will take a look and think "she's too big" and such.

Supersize She... well, the woman was dedicated if nothing else.
