Nope- the title is slightly misleading.  As I stated in the body, I meant specifically from within the FM/FMG (or GT/GTS/GGTS) genres- whatever style you write in.  The reason I said literary was to avoid a deluge of references to pictures and video clips, because I'm specifically looking for linguistic variants and styles.

Ah, I missed that part.  Aside from those I listed, which have had the greatest influence on me, as for within the community, I would have to say that Hi-Standard stands out the most with me - tho my style and his differ widely in excution.  That and the fact that when I was invigorated to write my own, there was no outlet for male and female power couple stories - and no one (so far as I could discover) was writing them, either.  That was probably one of the major impetuous for me to do so, a challenge to be met and overcome.

I'll have to keep an eye out at the library/used bookstore for those others...

That might be especially true with the works of Robert Adams, last time I checked all of them were out of print, have been for about 15 or so years now.  He was quite a prolific writer in his day, starting from around 1974 until his death around 1990.  He's one of the few that had femuscular females in his stories and they were a prominent portion of his Horseclans series, especially with the Amazonian clan of The Moon Maidens.

Hi-standard.  Check.  It used to be possible to find his website through Muscles of Deekay, right?  I may be making that up, though, as I can't seem to find those anymore.  Any idea where they're holed up these days?

Damn.  I got one of the best public library systems in the U.S. where I'm living now, but when I move to Lake Havasu in a couple weeks, well, I don't know.  Hopefully there'll be something out there that won't require me to drive all the way out to Phoenix...

BTW, AlexG- did you get the PM I sent you?

His site is long gone, and outside of some that were uploaded to giantess.com, I'm probably one of the few that has saved all of his works, that is save one.  It was his only attempt at GTS gore and he admitted to me in private that it was the one story he wrote that he came to thoroughly dislike, but still archived it nonetheless on his site for posterity.

Aside from the used book feature on Amazon.com, second hand paperback bookshops are probably going to be your best bet.

FYI - there are 18 Horseclans books in the series, plus two anthologies penned by sci-fi friends of his, hence the Friends of the Horseclans title on those two.  Castaways in Time, there were six in all.  Not to mention three other anthology collections he edited and a third series he was just starting up when he passed away (and whose title eludes me at the moment.

All this and when he wasn't smithing a new sword, a suit of armor or creating a costume as a member of the Society for the Creative Anachronism.

Yes I did, check your PM box for my reply.

BTW - Just to toot my own horn a bit, if you haven't already checked, you'll find three of my stories in the Growth Stories forum.

Thanks for your prompt and thorough replies, AlexG.  I will start going through those tonight.

Toot away!  I'll look for 'em.  I don't really do a whole lot of GTS, but I'm considering trying a short-short GTS (is that a contradiction in terms?) sometime in the near future.

I don't so much have a source of literary inspiration, I guess, except maybe to take some story idea from a genre that is pretty far-removed from fmg/sf literature and maybe work it into into this genre.  More often, though, I will flesh out some old dreams and daydreams into full length stories, but instead of just focusing on the fmg or the eroticism, I like to mesh those themes with love, loss, regret, sorrow, and other more complex emotions.

I like to think that this is a genre of art and literature just like any other, with the possibility of making good, satisfying works.  Of course, there are simple bread and butter tales, but there have been enough stories and drawings submitted that I think we see a wide range of poor to excellent art in this category.

That's fine.  Tho, two of the three that I've posted here are of the Titan/Titaness (i.e. still within Human-sized scale) rather then that of full blown GT/GTS.  I'm not limited to GTS, prefering a range of TFing formats, my current one (still under construction) being my first focused upon Minizon (SW) story.

My inspiration is mainly the female heart and soul, and of course their brawny flesh.  I can’t say that any one author or writer inspired me per se.  I like certain writers, but can’t say I mimic or mirror any one author.  I believe a writer’s prose is a god given talent, and the usage of their words ascertains themselves.

I formed my “style” in college when I took creative writing and was the only class I aced every semester.  I saw then that slang, ghetto, and white trash rhetoric were sadly watering down the English language, so I decided to study English history in my final two years.

Words are so powerful, and so true in everyday life.  I love writing love letters and romantic sagas that really delve into what makes a girl tick.  And when it comes to big girls, that makes it even better for me.  It’s like what inspires an artist to create a painting…  I often think of my prose as a statue builder, molding an impeccable statue of the most powerful woman on earth.

Okay, I’ll stop my rant now…  LOL

XOXO's

Oh, I agree whole heartedly, Mimi. There are many causes for the fine language of English... though it would probably be wise to acknowledge that AOL/the Internet/SMS are also major contributors.

Eugh.
