Okay.  I've watched American Gladiators several times in the distant past- I remember the great ones like Zap, Ice, Siren, Gold for the ladies, and Turbo, Tower, Nitro for the men- but it's been a long freakin' time.  What I'm looking for- as a form of research for a Sylph story with crossover possibilities- is a description of all the games people remember.

Here's the specific information I need:

As I said, I'm moderately familiar with the games, but it's been (many) years.  All help would be greatly appreciated, of course, and could potentially (very likely) lead to a fun story...

Eliminator, the huge obstacle course at the end of the game.

Cannonball, competitors have to try to knock gladiators off the podium.

Powerball, basically a form of football with some harsh tackles, the one who gets the balls in the most bins wins.

Assault, player can grab weapons to shoot a bullseye over the gladiator, or pass the finish line, they must not get hit by the balls shot at them.

The wall, competitors must reach the top of the wall without being pulled down by a gladiator.

Hang 10?  Don't remember the name.  Player must navigate from one end to another by swinging on olympic rings.  While at the same time avoiding the gladiator trying to hunt them down.

Yeah, "Q-Tip" is a brand name; "cotton swab" is the generic term here in the US.  Although it's like "Kleenx" and "Scotch tape", the brand name slowly becomes the generic term.

Uh oh, topic drift!!  Getting back on subject...

...uhhh, TC2 pretty much covered all the other games I remember.

First you gotta climp up the reverse treadmill ramp, remember that thing with the red and blue arrows pointing downward?  Yeah gotta climb that thing first to reach the platform.

Once on the platform you need to get on the ceiling bike pedals, so that instead of using your legs your using your arms and hands to pedal across.

Then you cross the rolling platform which has punching bags swinging back and forth, if you fall off you will end up face to face with a gladiator that will slow you down.

Then you climb up the net to reach the zip line up top, once you reach the zipline you obviously zip down and drop onto a safety mat.

After dropping down you jump some hurdles and then pick a "door" to run through labelled 1 through 4.  If you pick the wrong door you will be blocked by a gladiator.

Pass the doors and you win the game.


Now if you're going on the eliminator from later seasons.

Instead of hurdles the competitors have to scale a brick wall using a rope, I've seen many contestants fail that one compared to the previous seasons.

But that is the eliminator event in a nutshell.
