In the Fiction -> Growth Stories forum, whenever I click on the "Gasp" story thread, it comes up with a blank site template (i.e. the Header and sidebar look good, but the Forum body is empty).  I tried this on both IE7 and Firefox, so it's not a browser specific issue.

It hasn't fixed itself... so, I'm posting up on Brawna.

I've actually got a few comments to make on a different thread.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the threads are being deleted and the forum isn't actually properly removing the thread... or something.

I think it's the same problem I'm having in the Archive thread.  I've come across it sporadically in other threads as well.  Just remembered that I saw it on page 3 of the recent topics listing. Strange...

OK, here's my guess:

When I was working on the site two weeks ago, I compiled a version of the Apache webserver just for Amaz0ns, to improve performance.  If a database query takes too long, the server now kills the process very abruptly.  So it's possible that long posts (not threads) may exceed this threshold and are thus unloadable by the forum application.

I'm going to have to go through the error logs to verify, which might take awhile.
