BlackModelling (the owner) was always a douchebag. The hilarious part is, this "investigation for copyright infringement" came about after he made his entire forum private and "VIP only" (VIP meaning "someone who 'donates' to the forum"). And he had a common practice of taking high-content threads made by "regular" users and moving them to the "VIP only" section, where the regular users who made the thread in the first place couldn't even see their own content.

Making the entire forum VIP only (and thus alienating 98% of the userbase) probably motivated more than a few users to report the forum to copyright holders. Hell, there were several actual Fitness and FBB personalities who held accounts there for whatever reason. Locking them out of a forum where BlackModelling was now charging people "donations" in order to see their content probably didn't make them very happy either.

"randy guillotte" said it best. "Karma" indeed.

That said, I don't know that I'd call the forum a "destroyer of our community". Yes, it undermined a lot of pay-sites with its openly shared content, and no, that wasn't okay. However, there were a LOT of users who contributed freely-available content from the Internet that wasn't from pay-sites. I actually learned about a lot of really really gorgeous fitness women and FBBers from that forum that I would have never heard of otherwise. So while the forum was something of a cesspool of not-so-anonymous file sharing and the like, there was a lot of quality, freely-available content that got shared as well.

AbyssPlanet, I agree with your post 100 percent. The VIP forums had literally 1/15th the activity that the regular fbb/fitness board did. I espcially think that the last paragraph of your post is prevelant.

Oop, looks like the forum is back up. I even got a PM from the owner/Admin, saying:

Quote from: banned.org
A lot of member reported us your actions against banned, we wait a detailed explanation from you in 24 hours!

I have absolutely no idea what that means.

Um, not to rain on anyone's parade or anything, but it looks to me like the page saying banned is under investigation is a fake.  Especially given that it's got a different URL and the last registered member's name is "PirateWages."  Shame.  I thought someone finally got the bastards.

I guess the administration over there was getting off on some "kiss the ring" type thing.

Pretty much. I was always kinda vocal when the Admin would do something colossally retarded. Maybe that was part of my problem, but I really can't stand sycophants when things are clearly being handled improperly.

For example, at one point I decided that hey, I've been actually benefiting a lot from the forum (learning about new previously-unknown gorgeous women, as I mentioned earlier), so I might as well donate, and get VIP access while I'm at it. Especially since a lot of the really excellent threads were being moved to the VIP section abruptly and without warning anyway. You can either get VIP access by donating, or by collecting "karma" by posting quality posts and then the users "applaud" you, giving you a karma point. The number of karma needed to get into the VIP section sort of steadily climbed, and it was at about 500 when I donated. I had about 230 at the time.

So I donate, like, $15 or something via PayPal. I got double-charged, but I contacted PayPal and told them what was up and they refunded my money. Of course, the Admins at sarada$ had no idea why I got double-charged, but whatever. I got it fixed, so no biggie.
The way it was worded was, you donate to the servers, and you get VIP access. End of story. So I get VIP access, that's pretty cool, but the VIP section wasn't all that impressive because it was mostly just ported threads from the "free" section that I'd already seen several weeks or months prior.

About a month and a half go by, and then suddenly I don't have VIP access anymore. I'm all confused, so I PM the Admin and ask what's up. He informs me that if I want VIP access back, I should donate another $15. I (politely, kinda) tell him that that's sort of bullshit, that the instructions for VIP access don't say anything about donating more than once, and all of a sudden I find my account disabled. Post count reset, karma count reset.
I ask him what just happened, and he claims to have no idea what's going on, and that sometimes people "accidentally" disable their own accounts. I obviously didn't do this, and when  I ask for my account to get restored, my messages got ignored.

It would seem that the owners of the site are blocking some users from seeing some sections, just last night the sight looked fully operational. And tonight, it is just as it was when I started this thread.

In addition, the VIP sections occasionaly open from time to time, from what appears to be random erros/ good graces of the admins.

Abyss, clearly the admin's had a hand in what happened to you. Dont give another cent to them.

The fact is that sard. needs its "non-vip" users in order to operate, it also needs new members to contribute. I can personally gaurentee that not only will the site bounce back and forth to 100% and seemingly closed..... But no invesigation will ever happen here simply because there are much bigger fish to fry
