i just want to add,ass a fellow wanna-lose-weighter that you should do a diet, look at it as eating right, eating clean, eating good ! its been proven that when people are having a diet they are feeling punished for not eating the things they always crave !
your progress is great, and i wish you the best for keeping it up !

Just an observation, but did anyone notice that the last post by SnowLeopardTaur was from July of 2008?

I might add, if you check her profile page, she registered in July and hasn't logged in since September.

I haven't talked to her in a couple of months. I know that there was a lot going on in her personal life and that she was taking some bold steps career wise, so her absence may have something to do with that. I still see her online on MSN once in a while, but since I'm crazy busy myself, I usually don't have time to chat anyway. If I can though, I'll let her know that she's being missed. Wink

Just to add to itamar's comment about the importance of diet.
After I was diagnosed Type 2 diabetic last November, I was put on strict remedial diet
of 1840kCal balanced diet (Carbs, Proteins, Vegetables, etc.) per day, in addition to some medication. Only excersize I consciously took was to make sure I walked an average of 10,000 steps per day.
Here is my "before" and "after" numbers
Before (October 2008) 82.4kg (= 181.5 lbs.)
After (April 2009) 68.6 kg (= 151 lbs.)
My blood sugar level also normalized in June, so I dropped my medication, resulting in a rebound to 70.0kg (= 154lbs.), but my doctor warned me that this would happen, so I should aim to stabilize here until the end of this year to avoid rebounds, and monitor my blood sugar levels regularly.
FYI, my height is 183.5cm (6' 1/4" for those imperialists among you), ant shed 11cm (a tad over 4 inches) off my waistline in the meantime (from 92cm to 81cm).

I hope this example helps.

I hope you're all in good health. I've been putting more consistent effort to work out at the gym lately. Oddly enough, after changing my diet and switching exercise methods, I feel pretty good today.

I haven't really changed physically, but I can't shake this urge to smile after finishing my exercise today. My system must finally be improving.
