What do you mean by that?

Anyway, I like this model. I never liked the big lips and squarish chin from the original 3D model.

Nell McAndrew was an awesome Lara Croft. She was a model, but tall and very athletic and a dead ringer for the animation.

She apparently started reading too much of her own press and the adoration of the gamer geeks at computer game shows and got a big head. She started to make all sorts of demands and for more money. All just to sign "Lara Croft" autographs at E3 and appear in magazine ads.
Eidos bounced her butt and her career, outside of the occasional FHM or Maxim photos, has been non-existant.

Something tells me a developer who's only avoided being swallowed up by EA or Vivendi because Time Warner has a stake in them wasn't really at all responsible for ruining her career when she got a big head.

Also, something tells me a model having a huge ego wasn't the doing of a sub-par game.

I was actually very fond of Karime Adebibe, the last Lara Croft model. I've got the downloadable theme set of her as my Xbox360 dashboard theme.

This new model IS very attractive, don't get me wrong, but I prefer Karime Adebibe.
I'm a huge Tomb Raider fan, though, so I'll still be buying the new game on Xbox360 the day it comes out. Cheesy

I'm far from an expert on this, but I'll agree that she was hot in the beauty sense, but her physique was too stringy.

For those who want to see more of the new Lara Croft model in action, here is an interview clip at GameTrailers.com where she does all sorts of actiony stuff, like gymnastic moves, scuba-diving and swimming, posing for the camera, jump-kicks, and other stuff:

Karime Adebibe looks hot, but she doesn't resemble the video game Lara Croft that much.

Nell McAndrew seems to have done fine after Croft. But I'm more impressed by the French model whose Croft pictures were never officially published. Vanessa Demouy looked more like that 3D chick. And years later she did a great performance in a French cop show "Central Nuit" (Night Squad). She played Anne, an officer whose collegues keep suspecting her of being an I.A. mole, just because she's sleeping with the I.A. chief.

That's not Lara Croft . . . this IS Lara Croft!  Cool

Case closed, accept no substitutes, and insist upon genuine Tetsuko as Lara Croft.  Wink

Much as I love muscular women and DCM's Tetsuko reigns supreme in the superhero genre' (or is at least in the Top 5), some characters just need to be simply strong and athletic looking. Lara Croft is one of those. Large muscles just don't work on that character.
