Ok, so here we are with a new year and as is typical of ESPN, they showed the Strongest Man in the World ad nauseum, but no women. Or did I miss something? I know the events are held and women compete but there is no TV coverage. Any info involving the event results and where they can be viewed?
Thx

Aneta's rather young too. And incredibly strong.

Aneta has won a few in a row. ESPN stopped televising it a few years back. The strongman has been scaled back as well. The whole roid issue had something to do with it. They run it alot at dead time at the end of the year. The sport has lost it's appeal on TV....even on the men's end. They run it opposite informercials and at times like 3 am. The women's contest is out altogether with espn.

That's too bad, I enjoyed watching the Strongman competitions.  It gave me a lot of inspiration for a "strongwoman" comic.

Some pretty good clips are up at youtube of both strongwoman and some weightlifting. Some of the olympic syle lifters and powerlifters are impressive. Aneta has a few clips where she bends frying pans with her hands.

I'm sure they'd do the women's competition if it made money.  It probably didn't bring in enough revenue to justify continuing it.
