So, it’s been a whole three years since I decided to start wasting my time constructively on fastidiously collecting links and then posting them up for the viewing pleasure of perverts around the world.
I suppose, this past year has been pretty smooth sailing – excluding the momentary threats of being tossed off my webhost… not the best way to start the year, really… but yes, things are ticking over nicely. As always, I must thank everyone that takes the time to comment, vote, submit a link, support the site or just nosy around every few days and of course, all the contributors who make the content that I link to.
Anyway, I suppose beyond adding on the gallery section – I’ve not put a great deal of work into the site… and they say if you aren’t going forwards, you’re going backwards… which is a roundabout way of saying – I’ve started quite an ambitious wiki project… as the name of the thread might suggest.
Yes, it’s not exactly comprehensive at the moment – except the section on the Addventure, for which Adama has to take all the credit – but the nature of a wiki is that it is a community project… and quite frankly, it’s the kind of thing that needs to be. Piecing together community history is pretty hard… even writing the history of a single site can be a bit tricky.
It’s not a spectacular, all singing, all dancing fancy new looking site design – I will get around to that eventually… - but I think if there’s even a small amount of effort on the part of individuals (and I know I’ll be doing things like adding in more model profiles and working on entries for various artists, websites, webcomics etc.) we can have a resource that will be a comprehensive expression of the community and allow newcomers to better grasp who and what has come before.
No, it won’t happen overnight and yes, there have been other similar efforts that have lapsed into stagnation but hey, I’ve been doing FTF10 for 3 years with updates like clockwork…
Anyone inclined to join in can either get in contact with me directly or just jump in at the deep end
