Now, let me explain. Issue porn is... probably a Tenebraeism... but it means, stories written because... you have issues and feel the best way to excise you demons is by... having things acted out by proxies in a story. The themes vary by fetish. BE tends to attract people who love to elaborate upon their general hatred of women... FMG (and GTS) are the obvious opposites.

I know a lot of this all comes down to personal preference... but there are - at least a few - writers I wish who could take a time out from having their characters murder, humiliate and rape and... y'know, do something sexy. This is, after all just masturbatory fantasy.

Which is rather my issue with issue porn. Yes, I know. I'm sure some people find a man getting pummelled to death enough to knock one out to... I'd rather HOPE that more people would prefer, smexiness to... the aforementioned.

I'm aware that the Tenebraeverse is smexiness and plot-lite... I have little trouble with plot or adversity... Oblimo's "It's Always Time" instantly became a top story... but while I don't question anyone's right to post whatever they want... I merely care to ask... why bring your issues into a realm that is of sexy fantasy?

I merely have to ask - because the more people I talk to, the more it seems... the more I'm joined by other people saying the same thing... benefits of running a chatroom full of similarly minded pervs, I guess.

Maybe I don't read enough...but while I get where the strong, sexy women naturally fall under FMG and GTS, I don't get where you say BE attracts a hatred of women.

But, I'm with you. I don't like the violence aspect. I've used it once, but really just barely, and it was a fisticuffs sort of thing, and not the graphic depictions of gore I'm sure you're referring to. And besides, it was part of the plot (something I'm guilty of putting far more effort into than general sexiness. I'm working on that).

However, I do know at least one other person (personally, mind you) that really is into the violence aspect. It's what gets their rockers off, just like a description of strong, powerful quads with that beautiful tear-drop shape bulging out just above the knee that bunch, ripple and flex as the seductress walks into the bedroom in her six-inch stilettos, the rest of her buxom, muscular body clad in a barely-there teddy...does for others.

Not quite sure what your point is.  I object to classifying BE as anti-women and FMG and GTS as pro-women, plenty of stories on DTV and elsewhere would tend to disprove that theory.  I also rather enjoy a BE story on occasion, and I'm pretty sure I don't hate women, or men, or people in general.  I am also aware many of my stories tend to be too violent for most people, that's ok.

But the plural of anecdote is not "data", so introspection is not the best support for a debate.  If your issue is rather that there aren't more stories to your taste, well, that's true for most anyone with an uncommon kink such as our enjoyment of muscular women.

Edit: Riddle beat me to my BE point but the rest stands.

Bluntly stated, you certainly aren't shy about stating the obvious.  Shocked

Well, that leaves me out (tossing in my cards @ the table)  Tongue

Like Hi-Standard, I'm far too plot driven to write a story of sustenance without meaningful substance.  Cool

I too am not quite sure what your whole point is. It's almost like you walked in the room talking on your headset and we caught the last of a point you were making.

Do you actually like or dis-like female muscle growth or BE? Which by the way does or does not depending on the story have anything to do with GTS.

BE doesn't have to connect with FMG or GTS. It can be a stand alone idea.

All of these in my opinion are just a fantasy / fetish. Because I dream about women like this doesn't mean I hate women. It's just a FANTASY.

It wouldn't be any more or less the same if I like big butts, red hair, or blue eyes.

There are a good deal of people the think huge muscles on a woman are ugly. Does this make them women haters?

(Figures I'd find this post now)

I have to ask what the heck is 'Issue Porn' and what the FLIP is a "Tenebraeism"Huh?

If you are having doubts about what you create and how other see your work (at least this is what I think what vibe I'm getting from your post) just do what I did.

I read my Geiger Soldier story in front of a four author critique panel. One author was intrigued, one was clearly uncomfortable hearing me read it, one was indifferent, and one took a great steaming crap on the genre saying... "People have made more money off of far worse things".

If you can walk away, great. If you have to crawl away, then its time to start thinking.

That would be Breast Enhancement or Breast Enlargement, depending on how euphemistic you were inclined to be.
