Here's a preview of the story that popped into my head after I took a train past the large hadron collider here in Swissland.  Definitely a bit of a different story for me, but I'm sure most of my usual style will still be there.  In any case, it's something new and that excites me.

“Hey Doc, come take a look at this...“  Max called out.

“Wat ees iit?“

“Take a look at these reading from Belle.“

“I reelee weesh zou’d call et by et’s right name.“

“Fine, the LHCb.  I readjusted the calibrations a bit and noticed something.“ Max said as he handed over his printouts.

The Doc poured over them for a few minutes, then suddenly began shifting from one sheet to another.  Then without a word he ran out of the room mumbling something about it already being too late, and was gone.

Not thirty seconds later the emergency alarms started blaring and everyone made for the exits.  No one panicked because there wasn’t any visible sign of something wrong, but still they hurried because most of them knew they were meddling with things that maybe shouldn’t be meddled with and if something went wrong, they were going to get away as quick as they could.

Max was the only one, except for the Doc who’d fled, who had an inkling of what was going on. Actually, what had been happening since they’d finally, sucessfully switched on. The Doc’s reaction told Max that his hunch was right and something needed to be done before things got any worse!  Max was trying to fight the crowds as he made his way to central control.

“Are you in emergency shutdown!?“ he demanded once he arrived.

“Not yet, we’re still trying to fig-“

“Shut it down now!!“ 

“What I don’t-“

“There’s more than beauty quarks in anti-matter, in Belle, and she’s not contained and they’ve been escaping!!“

The look in the directors’ eyes said that he finally understood.  “Emergency shutdown and quarrantine!“ he ordered as he keyed in his passwords.  Within a minute, every egress point was sealed and staff were redirected to the decontamination points so that they could be safely released from the project.
