Ok, I have my doubts this casting will go our way with the selection of an uber buff female. If this one actress who auditioned is any show of who would be auditioning, we haven't got a chance. She's pretty, but muscular??? No.  Undecided

Here's the blurb.
Here's another.

Wish someone like Marja Lehtonen or Amanda Folstad or Marika Johansson could get the role. They definitely need muscle in this female role. Roll Eyes

My guess is that Baird is being considered for the role of the goddess Sif, Thor's other great love aside from Jane Foster.

As much as I'd like to see Marja, Amanda or Marika in a role in Thor, I think the muscularity of these women would probably overwhelm the physique of whoever plays Thor himself!  Cheesy

(And if Baird is the producers' idea of "sturdy with muscle", I'd hate to see what their idea of non-buffed is!)

I'd rather they cast an actress willing to buff up versus a female bodybuilder with no acting talent.

It might be for Amara the Enchantress. But I also don't think they really want muscular women for the Valkior.

Masschine that is a GREAT pick, I would dare say perfect!  Great look, great body, give her black hair and I think she could be Wonderwoman too!

I dunno...the whole 'sturdy with muscle' has me thinkin' Valkyrie. I think if it were Sif, they could cast anybody...if it were Enchantress, it would prolly be a bigger name actress. Who knows.  Undecided

I read an earlier rumor that Jessica Biel tried out for the role of Sif. I doubt she'd want to buff up for the role but keep your fingers crossed.
