    While we’re at it, how the hell do we embed videos now? The way I used to do it on the old boards doesn’t work anymore. :angry:

    Because, in this case, the URLs code that you used were incorrect for direct linking, which I have now fixed. Next time, use the mouse, right click on the YouTube screen, on the pop-up select Copy YouTube Code. Paste in the code, but remember to erase the (highlighted in bold) unneeded extraneous portion of the code before continuing.

    Example:

    http: //www . you tube.com/watch?v=qPhj5xXoGh0 &feature=player_detailpage

    As for how to post a video clip . . .

    The last icon in the Boardcode box above is for video cliip linking.

    Click on it, and the features are revealed.

    Paste the URL of the video clip into the URL box.

    Then, goto the Provider box (just above the URL box) and scroll down to the host site that you are linking the video clip from, in this case YouTube (which is the last one on the list)

    Once done, click on Insert button.

    NOTE: Make certain that the HTML code is inserted correctly, sometimes I’ve found it does not always go to the exact spot that you want it to within the Message box.

    Use the Preview button to double check your post, then if satified, click the Submit button.

    Okay, so it looks like the change was on the YouTube end. They used to provide a very straightforward box with the embedding code. You’d just copy and paste it. They apparently changed that because I tried all the different codes they provided but none of them worked. Including the ones I ended up posting.

    Of course, none of them are what you just explained up above.
