So last time I came to you with Wonder Woman kicking ass as Steve Trevor basically blew his load watching her do so.
So Episode 8 or 10 of this season, depending on how you’re counting, is called Triumvirate of Terror! (never forget the exclamation mark with the episode titles), has her back, and Cheetah makes an appearance as well.
Forgetting the lame baseball teaser at the beginning between JLI and Legion of Doom, in the main story we get a genero ‘let’s switch our arch enemies so we can defeat the ones we don’t normall fight’ scenario. Joker vs Wonder Woman, Luther vs Batman (and Bat-Alfred), and Cheetah vs Superman.
It’s not super heavy on the Wonder Woman action, but Cheetah (who is pre-crisis/Silver Age incarnation as all the characters generally are) wipes the floor with Supes due to some magic amulet which I guess is a reference to Modern Cheetah and “kryptonite laced nail polish”. Just going to leave that last one alone I think.
I’ve said it before, but I really love this show, know it’s a bit divisive as it’s very 60s Silver Age/Adam West Batman rather than Dark Deco Animated Series. However, it’s so faithful to the comics (even if it’s mainly Silver Age versions) that it really deserves a look.
Anyway the episode has a few sly winks to other DC stuff, there’s a bit of a Kingdom Come vibe to a couple of the scenes and then at the end we get old ass Bruce looking like a mixture of Batman Beyond Old Bruce and Kingdom Come Batman exo suit.
Think it’s available on iTunes and of course evil pirating torrents that no one here I’m sure condones.

September 18, 2011 at 5:49 am #103521AlexGKeymasterWonder Woman made another appearance, this time at the beginning lead-into of last night’s episode: “Scorn of the Star Sapphire” taking on the Baroness Paula Von Gunther and her Naziesque henchrobots – complete with 70’s WW series theme music in the background as she saves the day. B)
Classic Batman one-liner w/ a tone of disapproval: “What does she see in that man?” (Steve Trevor)

We discussed it here http://amaz0ns.com/forum/Fandom–Nerd-Stuff/101206-Wonder-Woman-in-Batman-Brave-and-the-Bold
September 19, 2011 at 1:38 am #103534AlexGKeymasterIt’s a good series, especially with the simplistic 70s schlock atmosphere that’s addictively charming.
Tho, I still prefer Young Justice, reminds me of the JL/JLU series that Cartoon Network had on yrs ago.

September 19, 2011 at 4:02 am #103537zentaParticipantI believe that was the episode that leaked early anyway, however it’s back on weekly so new episode for me next weekend.
Young Justice though I’m still not sure about. Tries to be adult and have grown up issues in the DCU sorted out by teenagers, then they hamfistedly slip in some teenage angst and clumsily covered “life lessons”. Plus also Wally is yet again the comic relief, and Miss Martian only has psychic powers and no super strength, and I guess as a Flash fan and a strong woman fan I’d like to see both of those reversed. Although I can see that they need the comic relief character and two characters with super strength might be redundant.
Shame though
September 19, 2011 at 8:49 am #103540philipParticipantI enjoyed hearing the Wonder Woman tv theme song with her appearance on the Brave and the Bold. Young Justice is pretty good. The scene I liked best from that series was Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent at a diner having a conversation about Superboy.
